Brilliant last night, just shows how much we have missed him recently. He is vital to our midfield. Big ask for him this season to step up like he has, him and Sissoko have blossomed a great partnership. Just need one more top class CM to help them out.

Also he is so calm on the ball, a couple instances last night he took time and picked out a pass even with players pressing him.

He looks like a Barca player in all honesty... but by that i dont mean he will go there but that his style.

Its funny, the media hype talk about Sancho and CHO and fucking Rice boy but they barely mention Winks being in that England team.

He is a wonderful player... will make mistakes but love how he always looks forward.

I see this comparison a lot but don’t really get it, similar tenacity and hair cut but Parker was far more of a ball winner and Winks is much more elegant on the ball with a far more complete picture of the game in his head.
Charlton era Parker was far more of an attacking/creative player than the DM destroyer that we signed.

I also see alot of Modric in Winks too but yea i agree with your veiw.....i think it was the haircut and the spin away from players

Love the guy. A lot of fans really do underestimate the poise and assurance he brings to our midfield. There are not many players in world football who have the qualities Winks possess at such a young age. If he can stay clear of major injury I see no reason why he can't develop into one of the best players in the world within the next 10 years.

Is this average seconds the player carries the ball combined with pass percentage?

Some very good players on that list, so it probably means something good. It's worth to take note of the fact that De Jong, Schone and Herrera doesn't play in top 5 leagues, so it's pretty safe to say that at least the two Ajax boys doesn't face the hardest opposition compared to the likes of Winks.

I think that stat is only using data from one CL match-day. It only features players from teams in the quarter finals.
