Not included in the matchday squad today, which to me confirms that he is now our 'spare man' (along with KWP) to the main rotation squad of 19. Shame for Winksy but probably the right decision for the team.

Unless he is still injured I would rather him any day that Sissoko. Harry needs to play to gain the match experience and intelligence needed in his role. Sad to see his injury derail a very promising first half of the season

Fit or not he needs to be playing!!!

Unless he only has 1 available leg or has been struck blind I would start with him ahead of a 100% fit Sissoko!!!!

Nothing against Sissoko who was very good today and has done a very good job for us whenever asked to!!!!

Seriously!

Winks has unfortunately (due hopefully to carrying injuries) been terrible for a while now

I still hope that Winks will come back and turn out to become the fantastic player we all think he can become but for anyone who thinks he should currently be ahead of the sisco kid must be nuts

Sissoko is well ahead of Winks on merit currently

Sounds like another operation could be in order to make sure he is fit and ready to begin preseason

Yup should really get it sorted now. 3.5 months to pre season. Just hope it’s not one of those mystery injuries where all scans look fine but still getting pain. Friend did their ankle and all scans were ago, but took a year for pain to go. Believe it can be the nerves mending that’s causes the issues, real shame. Wonder if it was Burnley injury that was never quite right or a fresh problem from palace game. Just hope he isn’t the next Wilshere.

Scary injury this one, ankle injuries have ruined plenty of careers on the past. Crossing everything we can get him pain free.

Really gutted for the lad, as to the way things have gone this season. How long is ago now, since he scored against West Ham at home ? He was on a real upwards trajectory before the injuries.

Gone to Doha to run in the sand? That's a therapy for ankle injury?:)

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...s-medicine-as-club-partner-with-a3351776.html

Tottenham players will benefit from "priority access" to one of the world's leading specialised sports medicine and orthopaedic hospitals after the club agreed a partnership with Qatar-based organisation, Aspetar.
Fifa-accredited Medical Centre of Excellence Aspetar already boast a similar relationship with reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and are keen to strike new deals with at least one club from each major European league.
In a month that has seen Spurs secure the long-term futures of several key players, including Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and - most recently - Danny Rose, the agreement signals the club's desire to further safeguard their players' health.

While the club would prefer to treat players within their own state-of-the art training ground on Hotspur Way, the option of using the Qatar-based facility only broadens the avenues available to Mauricio Pochettino and his team.
MORE SPURS NEWS Danny Rose signs new five-year Tottenham contract

Medical screening, research, athlete rehabilitation and orthopaedic surgery will be on offer to the north Londoners and the Spurs boss delivered a glowing recommendation of the facilities after visiting the hospital as part of an official Tottenham delegate last May

Is there any chance we can give Winks some game time for the WC with Ox now injured? Or is Winks now out for the season + summer?

Safe money is that Winks will not make the WC team. Still in Qatar rehabbing his ankle. I have a feeling he'll have surgery and use the summer to recover and get stronger.

Thought that as soon as OX got injured. Bad one apparently sounds like out World Cup. If winks were fit he’d have a chance we will be desperate in midfield. Or could open door for Sessegnon.

If he has surgery now - he will be hard-pressed to make it back for pre-season.
