Bit random, but I'm reading a novel at the moment about a serial killer called Kane. Try as I might I can't help but picture Harry's face when I'm reading it..... to be honest it's spoiling the book a bit :D.

If he scores 25 PL goals next season will have 150 and done it in 107 fewer games than Michael Owen. So under appreciated it’s ridiculous.

Incredible player. Hope he comes back fit and healthy. He is the player who takes us to that next level.

Hope he comes back leaner and better able to move about again. His mobility and knack for getting a goal out of nothing is what made him so deadly in the first place.

Not sure he’s still that same player now. He’s so good though. But not at diving into tackles.

Let’s hope he has an injury free season for once. If he does then he’ll get over 30 goals again. I’m actually really excited now thinking about him banging them in at the new stadium. He’s still to score there.

Funny you mention Michael Owen . He did his hamstring early in his career and admitted after he'd retired that he'd never felt right again and wouldn't run at his limit for fear of doing it again . I wonder if he told clubs buying him this truth ?

Not in his interest to do that obviously .

This is the Kane worry with his ankle issues . His 2019 form and the repeated pundit assertions that 'Kane isn't moving' during matches would indicate that something isn't right .

Fingers crossed a summer rest could be the answer . Fingers crossed .

It is clear that Harry Kane is washed up, a has-been, an injury-riddled player and a waste of the wages Spurs lavish upon him. Odd, seeing that he still managed to score 24 goals in 40 appearances last season. Perhaps we should sign a few more crocks like him?

Part of Owen’s game was explosiveness and a bad hamstring injury affected that. It’s also likely to recur with little warning, especially as there wasn’t as much monitoring of muscle fatigue in Owen’s era.
Kane’s ankle ligaments aren’t susceptible to ‘going’ again, as long as he stops throwing himself into unnecessary tackles like the Delph one!! He’s clearly going to have to manage himself, but it’s not a similar situation to Owen.

Yes , 'm not saying the repeat ankle injuries are the same as Owen's hammy . The difficult bit for players in these situations when they aren't entirely confident in the strength/flexibility of their recovery , do they 'fess up or present a confident front to managers/media etc ? .
This affects the team/results of course .The CL final being a case in point imo . Kane wasn't moving properly simple as that .Why was that and how come he started ?
Owen only became honest about his permanent hammy worries after his career was over .We all hope there are no similarities .

Anyway a good rest/preseason hopefully should help (y)

There’s no way anyone can come back from a repeat ankle ligament injury & not have it in the back of their mind for a few games. That much was obvious in the CL final.
I think you’re right about rest & pre-season. Hopefully he comes back flying in the new season. And avoids someone treading on his ankle!!

Might be my imagination but I think he looks a bit leaner in today’s training shots.

Hopefully he’ll be back to his best next season with the rest.

His stats were still really good last season but when we all know what he’s capable of, we expect more now really. Even if not getting 30 league goals still want to see him scaring defences a bit more again and a few more hat-tricks please.
