Some interesting percentage stats there. Lamela weighinging in as nearly 1in 5 and lucas close to 1 in 4 is better than I thought and for our back ups effectively is not bad at all. Also thought Bale scored more than 55 especially with those 2 good seasons. Dimitar also surprised me with close to 1 in 2.

Todays goal against Chelsea was Kane's 160th and means he overtakes Cliff Jones as our 4th all time top scorer.

Goals Apps

1. Jimmy Greaves 266 376 (apps)
2. Bobby Smith 208 317
3. Martin Chivers 174 367
4. Harry Kane 160 243

Well done Harry, great achievement!!

Also, he's the first Spurs player ever to score 20 goals in 5 consecutive seasons.

Not bad for a 25 year old, 5 season wonder!

I have seen it on the official site but can't remember whereabouts. They usually put it up every time he equals another former players' total. So next is Martin Chivers in15 goals time.

Big Chiv. Him and Pat Jennings are why I supported Spurs. To see someone on par Is incredible.

Greavsie scored 20 or more in the League alone in 7 seasons (1961/62-1964/65 and 1966/67-1968/69). The season he missed that landmark, 1965/66, was when he was recovering from hepatitis. Even then he scored 15 in 29 League games, which most forwards would be reasonably pleased with.

The fact that he's scored more goals than played against some of these teams is quite frankly ridiculous.

In the past couple of months Kane has gone up a level. If Harry is playing we always have a chance as I think he will prove in the second leg. He is, without doubt, the best centre forward of his type in the world. There is no one anywhere near him. He can drop off and put inch perfect passes through, draws fouls like an expert.
He will win us something this season.

Do you know which one he will win for us? I can get a bet on.....

If anyone makes over 50 appearances, I bet they don't get anywhere near Ted Harper's goal ratio.....
For the record, he played 63 League games, scoring 62 goals, from 1928/29 to 1931/32. Although his time with us was entirely in the old Second Division, that scoring rate is still a bit tasty. By contrast, his 4 FA Cup games for us brought just 1 goal.

Thanks for posting. That’s a really good table. Do you know what would make it better though...international appearances and goals. For example, Bobby Smith hit 13 goals in 15 games for England. That’s pretty amazing.

Billy nich scored for england with his only touch of the ball.

Great article... Shame I had to use a thesaurus and dictionary for every other word... I fucked up on English literature on school

The article was right though, his all round game is just superb...

By the look of it, you did not only fuck up English literature, but also General English at school.:)

It was old school match reporting for the upper classes, they talked glowingly about the blustery weather and the price of fish while game was on. But a fun perspective all the same.

Bottom line and I have been saying it, H can produce assists from the half way line, the touch lines, across the diagonals, shots anywhere across the pitch and control the tempo of a game. Not all the time - He ain't Roy of the Rovers yet but I love him
