I do find it funny that if Kane doesn’t have a good match it’s because he’s been ‘overplayed’ is ‘tired’ or ‘still recovering’ from injury. It’s as if he doesn’t play a 10 out of 10 every match and bang in 5 goals then there are always mitigating circumstances out of his control. No mention of the fact the opposition might have just marked him out the game, he is just out of form or had a shit match like every other player in Euro’s football. Why does he always get excuses made for him but Alli, Eriksen or others just get panned?

That's not entirely the case. There have just been few occasions this season gone where he hasn't been coming back from something.
And we'd all rather he had a bad game because of an injury rather than a lack of form, wouldn't we?

He used to bang in a few hattricks every season. It's been 18 months since he last got one - this season just gone was his first without a hattrick since he broke into the team. Fella just needs a long summer off.

No doubt he needs a rest, that is cleat

I would say that he's evolved as a player though, and the lack of a hattrick is a much to do with us not playing as well and him dropping deeper as anything else.

But yeah, no doubt the guy needs a rest. His movement isn't as good as it was for me

I'm getting general vibes of spurs fans that they are getting pissed off with kane for some reason. Its absolutely ridiculous. He is our best player and will probably go down as our greatest ever player

What got me was that article in the Guardian saying he's going to ruin his career and he's being run into the ground. Then I look at Salah/Mane who have played a ridiculous amount of games, world cups, african cup of nations. Eriksen the same, loads of games, international duty.

It's wildly inconsistent.

He is a little bit too heavy. He see how Ronaldo and Bale improved as players along with packing on size, but it doesn’t work for everyone.
He’s a better all round player these days but he was a better striker two years ago.

He needs to drop a few lbs, nothing silly. It’ll do him the world of good imo

He just needs to get more agile. He wasn't the paciest to begin with, but he looks really slow now.

That's why he is. Dedicated to his profession and not the superficial things which usually surround footballers.

Think he was just knackered this year all the games and World Cup etc catching up with him. But also agree he needs to slim down very slightly again to get that edge of pace back. Also now he’s married I think he’ll relax a bit more. Big season next season barring more ankle issues.

Man, I would love for him to go beast mode and fire us to a PL title

Same, it could do either way though and I have to say I’m worried about his ankle issues. I’ve also had a grade 3 ligament tear and played regular semi pro football and I never felt the same after the 3rd time I injured it as it because so weak even after all the ongoing physio etc the proprioception is always weak, hopefully the prem level physios and doctors etc will be putting that right as if he can keep his ankles ok with a nice rest over summer he’ll be on fire next season.
