Trippier on @talkSPORT - Harry came in at half time & had a big go at the team and gave a great pep talk.

From Poch
“But to be honest, I was talking. It wasn’t a moment to talk too much. And in the end who lifted them before they went on the pitch was our captain, Hugo Lloris. I remember the words of Hugo Lloris as I was leaving the dressing room. He was shouting, ‘We are close, we need to score one goal more, never give up and try because the moment we score we’re going to be in the tie’.”

It was either done when poch wasn’t there or poch is telling lies as Sissoko also backed up trippier saying Kane spoke

I think its more of a case of selective journalism.
Step 1 : Use leading question, what do you think about Kane as a leader of the group?
Step2: More leading questions, Did Kane spoke to the team about the importance of the game?
Step3: Sensationalize it: Kane gave hairdryer, step aside Poch, half time talk belongs to the new player coach Sir Harry Kane

Why would the media do the above? Its because Poch gave the finger when the media asked if Kane would be available for the final after such an important win. To him that question is disrespectful to the team who have fought Dortmund, Man City and Ajax without Kane.

There is a clear difference in who said what and when. Personally I'm with Poch on this one. There must be a very good reason Hugo has captained 2 clubs and his country. However I'm sensing a potential problem with kane, like the issue of that goal he claimed, i don't know, but someone feels off.

3 players have come out and said Kane spoke so Poch is telling porkies as usual.

Think he's doing that to shine some light on Hugo anyway because he's overlooked as captain, I don't see a problem.

Doesn't matter what the "truth" is. Everyone will emphasise differently and be motivated differently. But when it comes to the "get one goal first and we are back in" comment, I'm sure that was Lloris and it changed the game as Lucas Moura referenced it.

Poch in his interview said he wasn't in there within the first 5 minutes so it stands to reason that he didn't hear what Kane said, Kane probably laid into them right away, Poch came in and gave his speech and then Hugo had the final word.

I don't understand this notion of a problem when 3 players come out and pretty much all say Kane inspired them. Nothing wrong with multiple leaders in the dressing room and nothing better than the local lad letting the team know whats at stake.

Lol remember a few weeks back when everyone was saying he’d back for the final tounge in check as we never actually believed we’d get there? Well we did. And he’s back. And for the first time maybe all season we will actually have a fully fit squad.

I hope so . The worry is that Kane may rush this .

Also he has a record of taking a while to get back to his goal machine best after injury .

If vertonghen is back. The irony of having a full match squad to pick from for the first time this season for the last game!

Does he? I think that’s a bit of a myth tbh. He returned vs Burnley this season after a injury and ok it was a very poor team performance, he did score and looked better than most that day.
Can remember him coming back vs Arsenal away 2 season ago with a good performance and a goal too.
After being out for 7 weeks I doubt he will be 100% but a 80/90% is still better than most and anyone we have.
And from the camp of “we must rest players as they spontaneously combust if they play 2 games a week” at least he is well rested

Lets hope alls well with Kane . We don't agree on Kanes performances this year . When he is truly on it he can make his own goals
and press like a demon . I'm certainly not alone thinking him less than his best, goal machine self this year after injury.

It’s a huge boost psychologically.

Many would argue that if you were doing a combined XI of Liverpool and Spurs, Kane would be the first name on the team sheet.

If he starts, it is likely his performance will be absolutely crucial in determining who wins the trophy. He is that good.

Only thing I'll say about Kane is why the hell did he run across the pitch (vs. Ajax) after the whistle had gone when he was not at all actually playing. How stupid can you be. "I'm a 250M asset and my stardom rely on my body staying fit and avoiding silly injuries, but hell I'll just run for it at the most pointless time in my career".
