Not really worried about Kane leaving. At least not any time soon.

He’ll want a season in the new stadium, and seems determined to break several club records. I also think he’s quite settled. On top of that he’s probably well aware of the crap Bale has received at Madrid, despite scoring important goals and directly winning them trophies.

I honestly believe he’d consider trophies won with us would be far more meaningful than those won at a club like Madrid, but the cash incentive is a different issue. If he thinks it’s important for him and his family for him to make as much money as possible in a short career, then fair enough. It’s easy as a fan to say that he’s already rolling in it and should therefore be happy at Spurs, but if I was in his shoes it would certainly be on my mind.

Thankfully I think he’s dedicated to carving out a place in history with us, rather than being the next Michael Owen.

Might help our cause that two of England's most beloved and legendary strikers, who are ever present in the media, won only 2 trophies between them in English football.

You mean Lineker and Shearer? Linkeker won the league at Everton remember? Plus his FA Cup with us. Obviously Shearer won the PL at Blackburn...

Lineker was the following season, and yes, that's why I said 2 trophies. i.e. neither of them were serial winners (although they did win something) but are well remembered for other reasons. Ok Lineker got a couple with Barca too but still. Dwarfed by David May in terms of trophies.

=15th in the all time Premier League goalscorers table

Harry now has 125 goals the same as Anelka in 189 games less

164 goals in all for Tottenham now in 249 games

Only 10 goals behind Martin Chivers

I’m amazed how many people discount him from being our player of the season. Without him we aren’t in the last 8 of the champions league. He’s scored important goal after important goal and effects more games than any other player.

Sissoko’s transformation has been amazing but there’s only one winner for me.

Weird, I just came on here to say something similar.

He’s definitely been one of our best players this season and it’s purely the fact that the extremely high standards he’s set himself, plus the fact we take him for granted, means that unless he has a ridiculous goal scoring season, he’s not normally considered as POTY.

I feel like he should win it this year. Maybe he’s not been the best player but I’d love him to be recognised by the fans this way, to remind him how amazing we think he is. He’s only won it once in 2015 despite being brilliant throughout the 5 years he’s been our striker. Don’t get me wrong, Toby, Eriksen and Verts all deserved theirs but I just feel we need to remind him how highly we think of him. He comes across as quite sensitive, especially after the ‘claim’ shenanigans - he rarely got any criticism before that and then it came by the bucketload. I think recognition from the fans (on top of the much love we already give him) would go down really well with him.

What I find incredible is that some on here want Harry dropped "because he is taking up the space that Son uses"
I just can't get my head round that.

Could you share those specific posts? Would like to know who said or even suggested that.

Did really well today. I rate him.

Might put a cheeky tenner on him to be the all time PL top scorer.

Just reading through the early pages of this thread for the lols and stumbled across this absolute gem from 2014
