Just out of interest, can anyone think of other examples of players wearing the shirt of direct rivals of the club they play for?
I've been trying to think of this and I can't think of any.

Most errors in life are errors of judgement. What a bizarre thing to say. So no one takes responsibility for anything?
He's 22 not 15
In the context of the punishments that people are suggesting in this thread, NO he shouldn't be sold, have his contract terminated, binned for this. Poch will obviously have a word but I don't consider that punishment, thats letting him know he messed up.
i can remember that diaby claimed he weared our shirt at home due to his friendship with kaboulJust out of interest, can anyone think of other examples of players wearing the shirt of direct rivals of the club they play for?
Fair dos. Yes of course he shouldn't be sacked. But similarly, it's highly unprofessional
To be honest, I'd ask him what the hell he thought he was doing. It would make me doubt his mentality, which Poch is huge on. I'd reiterate they were our rivals for the title, I'd point out that he has a lot to do to win over the fans and the manager, and this won't help. And I'd say focus on your football, not your mates at rival clubs, and I want to see a big improvement in pre-season or else you won't be here for very long.
Then I'd expect him to bleed with effort in training

Yeah, but the player's would do well to remember that it is that emotional attachment that allows them to earn a living kicking a ball about. Without these emotional fans there is no professional football.
When the fans stop caring is when professional football is dead and the money train comes to a halt.
It is what it is. I defy any vaguely serious football fan not to have indulged in a bit of hypocrisy at some time or other.Yeah, but the player's would do well to remember that it is that emotional attachment that allows them to earn a living kicking a ball about. These over-emotional fans are the biggest hypocrites which is why i can't take them seriously, our fans have forgiven legends for doing things far worse than this and I suspect that if GKN hits some form next season and scores then these same fans will quickly forget this incident.
In the grand scheme of things it's pretty much an irrelevance. Certainly something I would have long forgotten about sometime tomorrow afternoon.Yeah, but the player's would do well to remember that it is that emotional attachment that allows them to earn a living kicking a ball about. Well, that's definitely true in a sense, and why we shouldn't rehabilitate campbell...
but what is this about? A young squad member from a foreign country wore a chelsea kit? .... ....
Uh, pretty huge overreaction here. The guy's a footballer. He's as dumb as fucking bricks. Way down the list of things I'd demand sacking over.
