Surely just having him around so the players can stare in to his dreamy eyes when they are down is enough reason to keep him
I'm inclined to agree. Nando had some nice touches and link up play, but in 36 PL appearances he only scored 2 goals. Could Parrott honestly do much worse than that?Kane only got a chance when Adebayor & Soldado were injured. As much as I'm grateful for Llorente's input last season, I feel it is time for him to move on to allow Parrott some game time (Carabao cup etc). TP looks like he can be a player and giving him minutes could develop us another star.
That combined with FL's age, wage (rumoured 100k PW) non HG slot and the fact Son & Lucas are very capable in the 9 position suggests it's time to thank big Nando for everything and look to the future.
Keeping him for around 60,000 pounds a week would seem to be good insurance for a year in which Parrott keeps maturing. But would he think that as an insult coming down that much from 100,000/wk?
Rooney 16 years oldMy guess is we'll try to sign someone younger in the last few weeks of the window and then return to Llorente if we can't bring anyone in.
As much as I loved how Parrott looked yesterday, he's 17. Even Owen was 18. I can't think of a single striker who has ever broken through in a big way at that age. He certainly deserves appearances, but being a true back-up getting 30-35 appearances I think is something for next season rather than this one.
Llorente in his role as third choice striker behind Kane and Son would be acceptable if we strike out on other options, especially if we aren't paying him 100k/week again.

Has foyth not played two years at the club and is still under 21? Therefore doesn't need to be registered, so we do have a slot?Worth noting that whilst Parrott would qualify as U21 in PL, he'd still take up one of the 17 overseas slots, as is neither HG nor U21 for the CL until next season.
He needs 2 full seasons registered in England for the CL in order to be on the "B List" (U21), and his scholarship started last summer.
In a dream scenario where we register GLC and Eriksen, we'd need to sell either Wanyama or Dier in order to register Llorente (or Parrott), so assuming that's the delay.

Stone me, I think you're right.
Rules for the CL 2019/20 season state.
"A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1998 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA."
So I'm talking rubbish, we currently have 2 slots left for (hopefully) GLC + Llorente or Parrott.
Parrott would count as homegrown and under 18.
