The way he turned it around has been great and he seems to click a lot more now when he comes on. The players also seemed to swarm round him when he got the ball as it seems they just knew he was going to flick it on or shield the ball for a move to start. Would be great if he stayed next season.

Would 25mill even get us a decent player who is better than Llorente?

Could just keep Son/Lucas/Llorente us backup options and spend the money on more important areas.

I'd get rid tbh. Think he cost 15m from Swansea and he couldn't get in their side. Now look at them. 25m would at least get an improvement on him, albeit I don't pretend to know who.

We should. Waiting for someone to come and saying Son is Kanes backup, well we can't assume Son can play every single game. We need two players for every position.

I don't think we do. We need great players that can play more than one position. So we can rotate and if our number one player is fit they are not sitting on the bench for 90% of the season and are rusty when called upon.

Of course, if we can get them! But assuming we have to replace Toby and Eriksen and buy a midfielder and hopefully a new right back then I wouldn't be against Lorente staying, because I don't think Levy is going to spend like crazy.

Twitter poll results very Brexit lol.

I just don't see the point in buying an expensive target man to be Kane backup. It's like the Maxi Gomes link. How often would we really play him and Kane together? I really think it'd be a waste of the budget.

I'd give Llorente another year lurking in the shadows (if he's willing) whilst bringing in another wide forward to compete with Son and Moura. Look at the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Zaha as we have done in the past. I'd rather our transfer budget went on players that get on the pitch more often that not, and certainly areas like full back and CM beforehand.

Ehh? He played almost every game for them that season. Got 15 goals in the league...

With Parrott in mind I would definitely look to try and retain Llorente for next season as seems pointless signing some mid-twenties striker who would only serve to block Parrott's path to first team (and you can see more youth players are maybe starting to agitate for moves abroad if their path to first team is blocked).

Although I would also like to sign someone in Son / Martial mould where they have flexibility to play wide or up top.

He played 33 games and scored 15 goals for them?

Now go stand in the corner and think about what you've just said! :playful:

You do realise that without Llorente’s input this season we’re fucked.
If he’s happy to stay then 100% there’s a value in keeping this talented, proven goals scorer with experience winning at thevery highest level in our squad of 25.
