"Please note that players signified as a "free transfer" or released by a club on the expiry of their contract on 30 June 2019 could still remain there next season.

So this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club."

We've released Vorm and confirmed this with a statement. Llorente is still our player and could yet sign a new deal.

I’d imagine they’ve just let him announce his next club rather than saying he’s been released.

Shout out to big Nando, had a tough job fitting in to a system that isn’t best suited to his style but still did bits in big games for us.

There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright...Fernandoo

Hope he gets a nice contract if/when he leaves us.

I’ve been surprised at the stick he has had. He has been marmite in here too. I really like him, and be sad to see him go.

Anybody know what our win rate is when he plays?

Not sure but his run in the middle of the season when we beat Fulham, Watford, Leicester was pivotal and very important in the grand scheme of us finishing top 4.

I think he’s going to leave, which I’m sad about. If he does, I wish him the best of luck.

I'd be really upset if we let him go. He's had a brilliant season in really difficult circumstances where plenty of more regular starters have struggled - he gives us 100% in every game and offers us something nobody else in the squad can. Surely he's worth another season.

He came in and did the job of lump ball to big guy adequately. Brilliant? Come off it. He's a donkey with the ball at his feet and just lacks overall aggression. Plenty of times I've been screaming at the TV for him to throw himself at the ball as it was crossed near him.

I'd agree with this. Sentiment is nice and all but we've no longer got room OR time for it in our scenario. We need someone better and quicker and younger than Llorente to be a back up to Kane or even to play alongside him

In actual fact I'm not sure we need a natural back up or replacement. We've seen Son do the job incredibly well for us and Moura to an extent can chip in too.

I agree that a backup to Kane with the same skill set is not necessary and competition for him is unrealistic.

Striker options of Kane, Son and Moura for one position is good.

But Llorente has scored some important cup goals for us. If we can keep him for one more season I would be happy with that.

Let's be honest I think we all thought he would do better for us but he has delivered some major moments for us that we will never forget. We need more cover for Kane but wouldn't be against him staying another season

I'd definitely give him another year if he wants it. Son is Kane's backup and we also have Moura. Llorente is a tactical option if we have to resort to a different style. His problem was that when he did get on the pitch there were no crosses going into the box and our set play delivery was pretty awful too. The other front players also weren't reading a lot of his lay offs which is completely different to how Kane plays. I'd rather keep him and focus our spending on the best quality we can get in CM and other key areas.

We need all round class in every position now. Not make dos
We're not going to transform the squad in a single summer, nor is it a good idea. Last summer was a huge fuck-up - overcorrecting by making double the changes this summer doesn't fix things, it makes things worse, leads to disjointed play and risks a lack of overall cohesion. We desperately need a better right-back, both quality and depth in CM, probably a replacement for Lamela given his injuries, a new backup goalie, and possibly replacements for Toby, Jan and Eriksen. That's already a huge amount and three of them worryingly not in our hands as we wait to see if they'll sign new contracts, we shouldn't be looking to add a backup striker to the list when our current one has done well.

I was really pleased when we signed him and I'll be sorry to see him go, but at the same time think that we can improve on him fairly easily. That's not to put him down, I just think that apart from the Ajax game we never really played to his strengths. I'd like to see us go for Rondon as his replacement. He's more mobile than Fernando, but he also offers that aerial threat and the ability to hold the ball up. And he's available for around £16M due to a release clause - a similar figure to the one we paid for Llorente.

I doubt we'd directly replace him. Son, Lucas and Dele can all play centrally (in different styles) and would all be playing regularly anyway so be able to hit the ground running if/when Kane's out.

I also like Rondón though.

Exactly. It's pointless signing another similar player to Llorente because we've proved time and time again that for whatever reason our team just don't know how to play with a big man up top. Whether they just never practised it in training or whatever I don't know, but it was frustrating every time Llorente played and largely through no fault of his own. If we are going to get another big target man type in then Poch needs to develop (and practice!) a system based around that, rather than just sticking him in whenever Kane gets injured and hoping for the best, which seemed to be what happened every time Llorente played.

Nando’s contract was due to end yesterday and he’s showing as “without club” on Transfermarkt, however our official site still lists him as a Spurs player and our official Twitter hasn’t announced his departure (they did announce Vorm’s)
