Rumour has it he'd like an extension. Certainly worth considering giving him another year. Good fit for a niche squad role now he's found his confidence.

7 goals and 4 assists in 20 appearances (including 13 from the bench). That's not bad at all.

All he needed was confidence. He isn't a bad player at all. Must be difficult to wait for so long and only come on for minutes here and there. But, he's stepped up in Kane's place and provided goals as well as assists.

Loved the passion in the stadium when he scored, everyone around me wanted him to score the third.... and he did.
The reaction of him running to the stands and seeing the fans wanting to jump over the stewards to hug him was epic

I'm not sure about that. He's looking better with more match practice but he's still been looking tired after 60/70 minutes. That's only going to get worst.

His return though after being consistent minutes can't be sniffed at.

He has a very niche role in the squad. Son is very much #1 backup if Kane is injured. I think having a veteran 3rd choice who is also a good plan B (aerial threat) is nice to have. Plus seems a top pro and is integrated.

Talk of Sturridge does not fill me with confidence. Wouldn't want Andy Carroll either.

Of course if we can get someone in the Werner/Pepe mould then we'd need to move him on, but I'd imagine it is something we are considering strongly.

I’m borderline now on a new deal. He will be another year older and 34. But he is a great pro and a great plan B. Scored and contributed to some really vital goals this season. Tough call, all about his fitness really. If they believe he’s got another year in him I’d probably go for it. It would also mean Parrott would be 18 next February and could start seriously intergrating him.

The thing with Llorente though is that he doesn't threaten anybody's place like Pepe or Werner would. Sooner or later somebody would be looking for a move which isn't the case now. Llorente won't get much time on the pitch and won't expect to either. If we play to his strengths like we've eventually started doing, he's a real asset in the squad. I'd like to see him get another year so that we can concentrate our resources on areal quality CM.

100% we should extend by a year.

We have 25 squad places, there is more than enough room to have a pure target man for one position back up, and he has more than proven his worth in this function. That doesn’t mean we can’t also have versatile mobile AMs who are starters but cover Kane (Son, Dele), or back ups who can also do so (Lucas, Lamela). There are spaces for all of these and we’ve clearly got the balance right given our league position despite every one of our attackers being unavailable at some point this season.

Always liked and rated him.
Very disappointed until recently.
Good return from him lately
and fills a niche spot well.
Gives us an alternative route
especially late on.
If we have the option
take it.
Premiership and Poch ready.

Nando says he wants to extend his stay, great 3rd choice, wont complain if he doesn't play every week, good experience and great plan B target man, if we are looking to nick a goal late on.

the only issue is he takes up a non home-grown spot. I agree he's good enough for another year.

That shouldn’t be an issue when you have a squad of 25 though.

just now looking at our squad I see Vinnie who'd Id move first so yeah, it shouldnt be a problem . Gotta figure Vic leaves, too, giving us spots for 2 new foreign players, plus the open spot assuming we move GKN

Vorm will likely leave to, freeing another one

why can't Llorente play some minutes with Harry when we are winning games not just a replacement or even start together, harry can still get his Golden Boot and I am sure it would be a good partnership.

It's great to think he has had a couple of real moments to savour for us now. For the effort and patience he has shown since signing for us it's the least he deserves.
