To be fair to him I'm pretty sure he got something like 11G 10A that season in all competitions. Was our second top scorer after Kane.

Not to many in the league IIRC. Not to diss what he did that season, he was great, but he’s already on 2 league goals and he hasn’t had any starts yet. If he can get a run of games and get 10 league goals (15 in all comps) and as many assists that would be great.

He certainly looks far more likely to score goals since about March. He's ghosting into really intelligent positions in the box. Finishing can be quite wasteful - he probably should have put us 2-0 up at Inter by capitalising on the volume of chances he got - but he'll score a fair few just by putting himself in those positions.

Really pleased to see him have such a positive start to this season - fingers crossed he can remain fit because if he does he will be an incredibly important player for us.

Seems like one of our main goal threats at the moment, especialyl when allowed to spend time playing through the middle. Glad to see, after all his injuries, he is producing good performances and goals, and gives us a great option.

Lamela, Son, Moura, Eriksen, Dele... 5 players all who would hope to start every game when fit, but with only 3 places on offer (behind Kane). Decent options for Pochettino and right now Lamela is looking the sharpest.

I believe you have missed the point. The goals that he has scored are academic, its his overall performance and pressing that enable others ie Eriksen, Kane, Deli, Son etc to play well and score. The team player you want to play with because ultimately you are going to be the recipient of that killer pass

Different positions for me, Lamela is an inverted right-sided (or number 10) and Son is best at left wing or up top.

I gave it a disagree because without having to check, i was sure Dele Alli was the 2nd highest scorer that season. Playing back in my head we played all those Europa league games where Lamela scored quite a few goals.. Are you perhaps referring to that?

He scored 5 in the league vs Alli who had 10.. Can't remember or find how many other goals Alli scored in that season in other competions.

See now I've been rather well behaved and did not want to come in here and comment... Not obsessively negative. I just dont rate him and find him frustrating. He's played well in patches in his last few sub appearances... But its in patches so i dont get excited.

I don't rate Vorm at all, but I'm not enough of a weirdo to go and neg/disagree with anybody that does in his thread. Lamela breeds a special breed of hate-filled opposition from within our own fanbase. It's weird and pathetic.

For me before his operation he was our go to man when under pressure when the going got tough he came to the fore and I would go so far as to say he was our heartbeat in the team .
He is for me so important because as I said before if the team is under pressure he is the one that will fight to set the tempo.
I am a big fan and cannot fathom how any spurs fan can be down on him.

Mate.. you invited me in .Lamela is being glorified in here for the last week or more. I've held my thoughts.. Where disagreed i gave a rating the sum of ONE disagree. Haven't given doh's or spam\etf because it would be silly. Calm down we all support the same club.. You love Lamela.. Me I'm meh.

Now when he has put in a consistent amount of performances I'll be in here to congratulate him. Not 3-4 performances in patches.
