He reminds me of Anderton. Constantly injured but adds value when fit.

Still can't believe how many people happy to let him go. Last night he came on and moved the ball around quickly, which is something we needed. He didn't want to pass backwards, he wanted to pass with the view to hurt Ajax.

That's what he brings to the team, he is direct and as a result loses the ball more but he helps pin the opposition back

Lo Celso left a message of congratulations to an instagram post of Lamela from yesterday's game (never seen him leaving a message to Lamela)

I'm going to translate that as he's coming to us

I wouldn't bite too much into that. Tbh there hasn't been much to congratulate Lamela for over the past years, so that a fellow Argentinian congratulate Lamela on social media does not mean that he's on his way to us....

“Happy” don't be daft. I’m never happy to see skilful players leave. Maybe, sadly ‘resigned’ due to injuries is nearer the truth.
A fit Coco would be an absolute magnificent outcome.
But we cannot carry ‘any’ player.

People are bashing Sanchez and the way he is basically robbing United, yet here is Lamela stealing a living for close to 6 years now. Move him on and close this agonizing chapter it something we should have done years ago just like with Soldado.
People are bashing Sanchez because depending on bonuses he earns between 350k and 500k a week and just cannot be arsed on the pitch. Lamela is let down by his body, but when he's on the pitch nobody can fault his effort. Not only is he always looking for an attacking option, but his tenacity and determination seems to lift the other players too. Of course I'm not going to mention some of his hideous timing, or the fact that I nearly put my foot through the TV on Wednesday when he was fannying about in our own half at the end either...... ?

We will see what Poch and Daniel decide but I, for one, hope Lamela stays with us for the next few seasons at least. He's an amazing and fully committed player who just needs to get better luck with injuries.

He must stay fit and play regularly if Poch wants him!

He's a fucking legend. He looks in great shape all the time but obviously there's something up with the constant injuries. I hope he can get sorted because he embodies everything good about us at our best.

Lamela has the heart of a lion and the attitude of a bull dog. Yes he can be rash but I am sure opponents hate to play against him. If every one of our players had the pure warrior spirit of Lamela or Danny Rose we would win everything out there. Hope he stays and keeps fit... Sanchez on the other hand is a wet sponge cashing in his ridiculous cheques, the comparison is obscene
