Completely agree. But If Poch genuinely feels that, then why was he allegedly turning down signings this Jan? If Poch thinks he has good players in the squad, well hook eriksen and put one of them on instead.
No idea? Just look at our bench tonight, who would be bring on for Eriksen? Foyth, Wanyama, Aurier? Ali injury is obviously blow to us but we need alot of investment in the squad this summer if not we are done before next season starts.

Son was having another off match and Lamela. I'm honestly starting to have my doubts about Moura if he is struggling to get into the squad why when we have other players under performing, is it just Poch or is not showing enough in training?

Him and Kane the only ones who showed fight tonight. If the others had been on his level we'd be winning this game.

He shows plenty of fight. It's like having a gritty ball winner playing out of position up front. He's good at tackling and closing down but not much else.

Don't think he rates him highly, that's the only explanation for me.

Considering he's been constantly awful since that burst at the beginning of the season it's little wonder. We actually haven't signed a decent attacking player since Son, which is a sad indictment of where we are.

We couldnt find anyone in the world that would be more useful than Lamela? Wow

He'll kick and rat and shithouse, but can't remember the last time he contributed meaningfully to a game. Ive got a shit memory so it may have been recently, but off the top of my head he's done fuck all since wolves away

Ive always thought Lamela is over-rated but he's is way down on the list of who'd I like to see replaced.

This is Lamela's poor form; hard work and simple passing, people equate a performance like that to Sissoko's good form and even player of the year form! We have seen better from him, but he usually takes a run of games to get going

The thing with Moura is that he is a one trick pony - I think it was noted long ago when he signed for psg. Tim Vickery said at the time that he was quite one dimensional and if was just used as an outside right wing forward then he is good, but anywhere else and he just disappears. If space opens up for him to run at players then that is when his game comes to the fore. You don't see that often cause we don't play a system to his strengths. There is a reason Poch uses him as a sub late on and I bet your bottom dollar it is to run at tired defenses.

As if he was the worst player in our attack. At least he actually tried. Kane spent more time getting into arguments then kicking a ball and the less we say about Son, Eriksen and Lucas the better.
Kane Son and Eriksen were poor too, but over the last few seasons have all been vital to what we have achieved.
Lamela imo, has not, unless you think charging around with little effect is what you think we need.
When we wonder why we never quite get there, the answer is we have a few players that are simply bang average, a player that just offers effort, rarely is enough to win you things.
Get me fit and I would run all day for spurs, but that's fucking moronic isn't it.
This is not a knee jerk reaction, Lamela simply is no way near good enough for many seasons now
Don't complain that we never win things if you're happy with players like Lamela.

Always been happy to see Lamela on the team sheet and was surprised and delighted that he seemed to be over the worst of his injuries at the beginning of the season. But since that batch of goals early in the season, he just hasn't really produced. Love his effort, love his desire to win and his willingness to get stuck in and dirty when required. But as an attacking threat, he's just not producing.

Those mazy runs he produced for Roma are an awfully long time ago now. If Eriksen is sold I might be tempted to hold onto him but otherwise it might be time to sell him if we can get a buyer. It's obvious we need a small overhaul of players but that needs to be carefully managed so we don't erode the good foundations too much, too soon.

Lamela - not good enough to start (presuming we want to achieve actual things like trophies). but - he's not a priority to be replaced. he seems to be relatively content playing a bit part role, starting here and there. so should be kept as a squad player.

more pressing matters are GK, CB, RB, LB, AM......etc etc

Feel like that’s more because of the fact that he’s usually injured or on his way back from an injury that he’s content with sub appearances and sporadic starts. He should have been sold a long time ago. He’s just very very average yet has this cult following amongst supporters. It’s weird.

i guess you're right, he is constantly injured. never seems to be able to do a run of games. but yea, i don't get why he is rated so highly by some.

i was actually pretty excited when we signed him - but he's not really lived up to it.
