Honestly Kyle Walker was and still is a lot better footballer than a lot of people will ever give him credit for. Defensively he is a shutdown FB that completely controls his flank in 90% of the games he plays. I miss him and peak Rose so much.

Totally different players playing in a different era to be fair.

Knowles and Kinnear would have been very at home in the modern game and would have been worth absolute fortunes. Beal was more defensively minded but still an outstanding fullback.

After Kinnear took his RB position due to his long absence through injury, Beal came back to be an outstanding CD.

And when Cooper and Gray were finished they found someone else to kick the shit out of the opposition .Im sorry but I found everything hateful and repulsive about theRevie era and I refuse to give them any credit when anyone who lived thru that time can tell you that they were a team of talented and brilliant players that were nothing but thugs one and all ;even there playmaker Giles was a nasty piece of work .If they had concentrated on playing football they would have one a lot more than they did .There aggression and dirty play ultimately cost them cups and titles because teams were sick of having the shit kicked out of them and started to give it back .Take notice of some games against a talented skilful Chelsea side who started to fight fire with fire as did Derby;Liverpool;Manunt

Poch says we're hoping for him to be back after the international break, but maybe not from the start of the first week - so we might be hoping for the Inter Milan or Arsenal games rather than Chelsea. And also he has very nice perfume.

Perfume?

Would really like him back and hopefully he’ll be able to get some starts soon so we can keep left back a bit fresher and give Davies some rest.

I sadly doubt he can make it through like a 5 game stretch at this point. If we could get anything for him I think that should be our objective in January. It's time to move on unfortunately.

Ben Davies has not been called up by Wales as he is suspended for the Nations League match, and is neither involved in their friendly. So hopefully he can recharge his batteries after covering for Rose.

If he is buggered then yes moving him on and getting a new left back is a priority.

We seem to have a few players recently whose long-term fitness is cause for concern...

Not really sure why people are freaking out about him. If it was his knee I could understand. But it’s his groin a totally unrelated injury. Thought he was looking close to his best before the injury. I guess all the people posting in this thread posted in the Lamela one as well. Hopefully it’s just a standard groin injury and he will be fine.
