The more I think abou this the more i think he doesn't give a shit about this club.

Since his contract that really broke him the amount of abuse he got. From then he's put his head down and done whats right for Danny Rose.

The problem with this is that this came during the Sherwood era and you can point the finger at a lot of our players when he was managing the club so it's a bit unfair to single him out on for that because there were others in the team who couldn't be asked as well.

Rose was not the only one getting criticized at that time and I'm not singling him out - but we're in a thread discussing him and his recent ramblings in the media. Kyle Walker may be many things, but lazy or complacent he has never been, and Rose was being judged by his fellow right back's application and it made it perhaps stand out even more so.

People, me included, criticize our players all the time, but most of those players have the good sense to not go to The Sun for a whinge about it.

Sorry, BC, I still don't see it. I think it's only fans who think this has destabilised the club. MP has moved on. The players have said they're not bothered by it. What's the big fuss about? Danny Rose has always shown 100% commitment on the field IMO (unlike some others). As long as this continues I will support him. Sure, if his level of *onfield* commitment drops, I would happily consider selling him. But I doubt this will happen, personally.

I never said he'd "destabilised" the club, I just think it was out of order and very unnecessary from a guy who we've been paying 3m a year to do fuck all for the last 6 months.

The whole "buying players we don't have to google" is an insult to some of his team mates, not to mention hypocritical and crassly stupid from a player we picked up from Leeds youth team.

And I don't happen to think he's that great either, like Walker, he's benefitted from Poch greatly also from there being a lack of quality in his position generally.

I wonder if Rose has heard of our new CB Sanchez

In the last 30 years our club has proved to be bigger than Paul Gascoigne, Teddy Sheringham, Sol Campbell, Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, Luka Modric, and Gareth Bale.

If Danny Rose choses to leave then its his loss.

Let's say Rose stays.

Who here is going to boo him?

I certainly am not. If he plays then he is a Spurs player and should have our support. He has apologised for what he said.

And just remember his debut goal vs the Scum

I really do hope everyone here will support him on the pitch.

I won't boo him but I will definitely find it difficult to cheer him on.

Ehmm, Danny Rose never apologized for what he said, he only apologized for the chosen timing of his declarations.

Anyway, I wouldn't boo him... but support has to be earned, and insulting your club, your teammates and your fans is certainly not the way to achieve that. I really hope he never plays a match for Spurs again, he can go play to Chelsea or freaking West ham for all I care.

It's all gone a bit quiet on him hasn't it?

This injury he's got is still keeping him out and it seems that he will be out for about 10 months before we see him again....if at all.

Is the club purposely keeping any update on him quiet so that when he returns to action or is sold there is little funfair?

He's certainly not a shoe in for an immediate recall if he ever does get fit.

Would take a fair bit to oust Davies from the team at the moment.

Imagine if his injury is a lot worst than initially thought and he can't pass a medical again. We can then offer him an 'Anderton special' pay as you play contract. That'll go down well with him wouldn't it....

As with any player that fucks up, if he comes back in the team and gives 100% for a couple of games, I'm sure we'll all be supporting him again in no time. If he signs a new contract then all is forgiven. If he doesn't, we'll sell him for more than he's worth and buy an Aurier type replacement and will be more than fine without him.

Davies is playing great but we do use/need two full backs the way we play. Be interesting to see who gets the league/cup games at first...can't see Rose playing badly after a couple of games...don't think it'll be long before he is our best option again. Bit of a headache for Poch but with CL and PL games, there'll be plenty of top games to go round.

Tbh as much as I love Davies and Trippier and I really do enjoy watching them both play I think at Wembley we will need Rose or Sessengon if we sign him and Aurier at full back. For some reason our lack of peace gets exposed really badly at Wembley and maybe it would be a help to have those two in at full back.

In general though I want Rose gone and replaced ASAP.

On a different subject altogether guy in ASDA shopping in front of me as I wrote all that farted and followed through so guess we could all be having worse days :)
