Maureen doesn't really do 'value'. He does 'ready made at any cost'.

Oh sure. But Rose has been either injured or out of form for the last 15 months. Man Utd may have wanted him last summer but a year later aren't there alternatives they could go for instead? I dunno. Probably just wishful thinking but I was kinda hoping they would have moved on to other targets.

I can forgive, but not forget - so if he still wants to go he can piss off.... even though i think he will get back to his best after a full pre season and surely would be a blow ... but maybe this can be a route for KWP who i rate highly

Issue is he’s not just one of our HGs, he counts as Spurs produced, of which maximum 21 of our 25 cannot be. Our only others this season in our CL squad were Harry Kane and Harry Winks I believe.

If we replace him then at the very least it has to be someone HG. Could KWP fill the remit?

KWP is a right back.

KWP is a right back.

Yet plays left back for the u21s. KYP Lee or whatever he was called was a decent right footed left back. Ps, I’m not saying KWP should be Rose’s replacement but he’s potentially adequate to cover LB should we opt to sign say Sessegnon as opposed to Sess and/or another specialist left back.

It's doing him a disservice playing him out of position. He was awful at left back against Newport County. I'm sure he can potentially cover there, in the same way Kyle Naughton did. We need a left footed left back that isn't constantly having to cut back on his right.

Its kind of annyoing that we're probably going to loose this guy and Toby over the summer. We have good replacements but still..
I guess its something we have to accept. They want to squeeze out as much money they can before retiring and this is ofc understandable.

Much more against losing Rose than Toby at this stage because there's an argument that we've effectively already replaced Toby. If we sold Rose then there'd be a big gaping hole at left back. There have been holes which historically we haven't always taken care of early on in transfer windows. Aurier for example could have easily gone tits up leaving us scrambling on the last day.

Dunno, Davies is first choice - it's not as if Rose has been playing week in week out - he's 2nd choice so not such a biggie.

Just out of interest do we know how many league games Rose has started since last January?

I'd take Shaw and barrow load of cash for Rose.
Shaw was excellent under Pochs tutilge.
He's got issues but still very young and think Poch could turn his career around.

That wasn’t my question.
It's an irrelevant question because it is under the assumption that Davies is some kind of robot who never gets injured.

It's not that Rose is an important first team player, it's that he's actually playing a valuable backup role at the moment for us.

I can’t imagine we’d fail to replace him if he left.
