I'd guess you're quite young, in which case you haven't seen some of the Spurs players over the decades I have. Eriksen is a good player, no doubt about it, I just don't believe he'll go to Barca when they get to choose from the best. I guess we'll see soon enough.
And how is that at all relevant in the context of what I posted?

The rest seems to have done him good and he's got his form back.

Re: his consistency, he was pretty consistently brilliant all of last season and the second half of the season before.

Prior to that he could be accused of going missing and being a bit hot and cold / inconsistent but nowadays he's our best quality midfielder and keeps the team ticking.

I absolutely believe that was his greatest ever performance in a spurs shirt.
He was outstanding. He just has this simple, everyday footballing genius about him. He makes the most sublime passes look so casual, as if he's surprised that no one else could see them. But I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that he was so clearly the best player on the pitch at the Nou Camp, right under their noses.

On your post though, it's difficult to say whether that as his best because he's just produced so many wonderful performances on such a regular basis that it's hard to keep track of which is his best.

His passing was incredible tonight, he was threading needles all over the place. Though he was the standout, overall I thought our front four were great together--movement, one touch passing, intent, everything.

He looked so good playing a bit deeper last night when we were chasing a goal. Having his vision and passing around our own box is such an advantage when breaking up play or keeping possession. Barcelonas pressing game is world class even if it's some of their second choice players and having someone like Eriksen in the middle is the best antidote.

This is just a bit of specualtion but I do believe having Rose and Sissoko, pacier and more physical players at full back, opens up for having Eriksen playing there more often.

Great passing tonight. Just wish he could change his corner technique and strategy. Lamela's corners are orders of magnitude better.
