He's off one way or another IMHO. Can't see him going to the trouble of running down his contract to this stage if he's intending to stay. I'd like to be wrong but...
He's not going to be agreeing to a new contract with us until the European transfer window closes and his dream of a big move this summer is completely dead.

He’s front and centre in the clubs merchandise post this morning.

If nothing enticing comes in for him I can see Eriksen staying.

It’s all speculation in the media - I doubt many people really know his intentions.

It also depends whether RM have been buttering him up for a Bosman, but they've allegedly strung him along for the window just gone and then ignored him. Hopefully, he'll decide they're taking the piss and sign a new deal with us.

Personally I'd like to see the combination of Ndombele and Lo Celso and others develop and creative the space and fluidity we need and we have often lacked at times over a period if time.
Eriksen is a great player with great talent. The way he penned in Villa was typical if his ability to keep the ball moving to our players and finding openings. It's not always like that and I thought this last game he really looked more Modric controlling things.
Still we may not have him for much longer so we have to develop chemistry between the players we have. Ndombele has definitely got an eye for a telling pass. Although he doesnt recycle the ball that much he is looking for that quick opportunity into space. This will kill the park the buses early before they set.
Lo Celso I've heard can do some great things too. Let's see. I'd rather not lose Eriksen butbif we did and got some money maybe NDombele/Lo Celso plus another could bring us the league title

Saturday was a glimpse of something we’ve all been asking for for years which was two great passers in midfield. We haven’t seen a duo like that on the field since VDV and Modric.

They'll need time to settle in and build an understanding and we need the dust to settle over the whole Eriksen saga before we even begin to think about the League title.

Think you’re forgetting about Stambouli and Capoue mate

I hope Eriksen signs a new deal and stays although I can't see it but I do think the pundits and media claiming how much we'll struggle are not giving Lo Celso a chance to prove himself. Obviously the hope is we have both but I think Lo Celso deserves the opportunity to show his worth before we announce the death of Spurs if Eriksen leaves.

I think it will also depend on how at ease he feels in London. My son met him and his partner on the tube, just travelling around. Will they be able to feel comfortable doing that in some other cities? All comes into the equation also.

I am so fucking sick of this whole sordid saga. Yes he's great, yes we need him but I seriously don't care anymore if he fucks off to Madrid and in fact I'd prefer he did it now rather than have to endure another round (or two) of "Will he go? Where will he go? When will he go? How will he go? Why will he go? Is he going? Did he go yet?"

Fuck this shit. Fuck him. Leave- please. Lo Celso ("Mr. Everywhere") can play in the 10 role, along with Lamela. We'll be ok. Last campaign we got rid of Dembele mid-season and made it work; now, we are far, far better than then. Yes it will hurt, yes we will be worse for it but I honestly think we can make Top 4 without him this season, and then be WAY stronger next year because we'd already be used to his absence. I AM NOT DISCOUNTING HIS TALENT. I am simply saying that the dude doesn't want to be here so we should just become the post-Eriksen Tottenham now- not later. Rip the fucking band-aid off.

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and less injuries on one side, losing Christian Eriksen on the other = we'll be ok. In fact I actually think it might help team morale. We'll have to circle the wagons, we'll have to adjust on the fly, we'll have to forge a slightly new identity but keep in mind: this is NOT last season, wherein he was our only creative outlet. This is this season- and, like the Six Million Dollar Man- we are stronger, better, and faster.

So yeah, adios amigo. As a great man (one who never, ever would’ve even contemplated leaving Tottenham) once said: the name on the back is nowt compared to the crest on the front.

Go to Madrid Christian. The name on the back is nothing compared to the crest on the front.

He's not going to be agreeing to a new contract with us until the European transfer window closes and his dream of a big move this summer is completely dead.

But again, Madrid could easily be saying, we’d like you to see your contract out and we’ll pick you up next Summer.
Rather than paying Spurs £40m we will put £20m in your account instead if you do this.

CE loses £6/7m this season, hugely compensated next summer.

Very very unlikely a new contract is signed with one year left imo.
