Was at the open training session today. For the entire duration, Eriksen was out on his own doing his own fitness and shooting drills with the fitness coaches and didn't once join up with the main group.

Even during the warm up, him and Toby were doing the leg rolls and stretches with the youth teamers while the rest of the 1st team were together.

It may mean nothing at the end of it all, but it certainly didn't the stop the watching fans from speculating.

Ndombele and Sissoko "behind" Eriksen will not give him any better platform than playing in front of Winks and Sissoko.

Signing another creative player like Lo Celso would free up Eriksen as all the pressure would no longer be on him. At thr same time it's harder for a defense to mark 2 players. Similar to how City operate with Silva/KdB.

Eriksen always played better when dembele was playing, not sure the reasoning behind it just seemed that way to me??

Watch poch's interview. Eriksen not fully fit as he had a procedure after the cl (similar to davies).

Poch just said in an interview he had an op after the CL final. Could of stayed in London but wanted to play. Probably on a different training programme currently

I think the way things seem to be panning out with transfers etc., Eriksen may well have been convinced that new challenges arising within Spurs negates the need for him to move on. That and a big fat pay rise.

Yeah Eriksen has always been very pragmatic and ambitious (...naturally all players who reach this level are) and I personally believe that a signing like Ndombele has effected Eriksens confidence in the project.

Remember that Pochettino has said that the players who asks for a transfer are the players you generally want to keep. It would be a massive statement if Eriksen signed a new contract. A real smack in the face towards United and RM who in the past have been able to strongarm us when it comes to our best players.

Thanks guys. We are all heady from watching the lads up close for once and haven't had the time to consume any news online.

I predict they'll have more injuries this season and Klopp will get flak for not signing anyone (if they dont)

Aside from CM and possibly CB I think Liverpool's depth is lacking personally. Backup GK is poor, no depth at all at full back, attacking backups are well short of the starters' quality. In terms of league performance I think they are the benchmark but that doesn't mean they automatically have a squad depth we can aspire too. If they had as many injuries to key players as us they would have fallen well short of City too.

You really are a ray of sunshine at the moment aren't you? :ROFLMAO: (I do kinda understand but I'm more of an optimist)
I argued on here most of last summer with a sawn-off sunshine pumper right up until the last, I'm not doing it again this summer.

I definitely think will see a better eriksen with Ndombele in our side. He can concentrate on the more offensive side of his game instead of having to drop back and try and dictate from deep.

Has a player ever publicly stated he wants a new challenge before going on to sign a new contract a few weeks later?

I’m sure it has happened before, but it seems like such a weird move for Eriksen. If he wants a new challenge then why would he sign a new contract?

Didn’t Rooney say it publicly as he pissed Man United about twice with wanting to leave then signed new contract I think.

Is there any chance I can give Winner × 100 to the post in the future?

I'm soooo exciting if it's true.

(This is not an info.)
Why is nobody talking about this post?
What does this mean? Announcement incoming? I'm not asking the itk this question, just my fellow SC'ers on this thread

Last season he had to drop deeper and dictate the play, hopefully with the addition of Ndombele he can push up a bit further and pick the ball up in more dangerous areas. Winks and Ndombele should be able to cover the middle third.

Same as Dele both play a lot better when playing higher up the pitch

The earliest ITK we had said he wanted one club and if it didn't come off he would stay so this is not really unexpected and just going to form. I guess a cynic would say it could be put out there to force Real Madrid's hand but I doubt it.

Considering he states clearly at the bottom that it's NOT info, I think it's fair to say its not info.

Just another Eriksen fan happy with the goat's post.

Feel like people are starting to realise why the players kept saying Dembele was the man, hopefully Ndombele can provide our players a similar attacking freedom.

It's interesting that it's come up as soon as Marca say Madrid accept they're not getting pogba.
