That's massive from the GOAT - here's to hoping!

But even if Eriksen signs, we STILL need GLC in for a very good window, just not that optimistic about that one..

He wouldn’t risk aggravating any kind of injury (always possible after surgery) if he was close to a move to Real Madrid. Especially if given the option to stay at home

Yeah, here’s the quotes. Doesn’t sound like a player who’s going to risk a transfer over an injury. Maybe he is staying now. The tour could easily of been the deadline. It would be common sense.

Christian Eriksen trained alone today, can you clarify why that was and also what did you make of his comments about wanting to try something different?

To be honest it's difficult for me to talk about the comments of the player. I wasn't there and I don't know. To be honest, during my holidays I didn't want to listen and see the media.

Christian is here because he expects to play, maybe Sunday against Juventus or against Manchester United. He had small, minor surgery after the final, similar to Ben Davies, and that is why today rather than training with the group, rather training alone and trying to avoid the risk and see if he's available to play on Sunday.

That is the explanation of why today he was alone. We gave the option to stay in London but he wanted to come because the medical staff they decided that he can be available to play maybe so he is here. It was his decision with the club and medical staff.

Sorry, was it surgery or an injury?

It was a small procedure but now he's ok.
Probably had the hair plugs back in

ITK have said nobody else comes close to our bid for LoCelso. If Eriksen signs up they might snatch that deal now for fear of it disappearing. ITK also stated repeatedly that we wanted LoCelso regardless of Eriksen's situation.

Yeah I know, so lets pray together mate!

ITK also stated that Levy was very aware of the "wage structure". Not much the fees.

But I reckon we have to atleast ship some of our deadwood, and that seems hard enough right now.

So funny seeing United fans replying to gossip rag stories about him training alone. “Come on, @ManUtd!!!”

It would be such a step backwards, football-wise - and he’s not an idiot.

I actually think this may be good news for the rest of our business. It's just an opinion of mine but i've always thought one of the reasons for him wanting to go was that we were never prepared to construct a team around him that was really capable of challenging and playing the type of football he wants to play.

I'm hoping this is a sign we've still got two or three good players to arrive.

Unbelievable news, the purchase of N’Dombele give Eriksen more of a licence to be the eriksen we know and love. Great start to a Friday ?

I think we can still afford LoCelso if we don't buy a RB.

GLC is still needed. Eriksen’s biggest issue is complacency and that stems from having no competition for his spot. I think having GLC in the squad would take Eriksen up another level.

I do agree that he needs competition, but to spend £60-70 million on a player that wouldn’t start (in my opinion) is hefty old price when we are looking to improve other areas. I struggle to see with Eriksen, Son, Alli, N’Dombele, Winks, Sissoko and Lucas where he fits.

I'll reserve judgement for a while, we've all applied for jobs we really want only to be turned down and getting motivated at your existing job is tough.

The fact he divides opinion on here says everything, nobody ever doubted our real top players such as Bale, Modric and Berbatov

(Going by CL registration as that’s stricter re Foyth and Davies) At this point, with the players who’ve been released and the knowledge that Janssen and Nkoudou have no part to play, we have 16 non HGs who would be registered. If Eriksen is in fact staying, and it looks like Toby is too, then that leaves space for one more. Suddenly the itk that stated ‘Lo Celso, Ndombele and the Sessegnons in regardless, then it’s a case of one in, on out’ looks spot on.
