If Eriksen moved to United this summer, any semblance of romance left in the game would be gone forever!

The last line of that Mirror piece is a masterpiece... "The Spurs manager has Crystal Palace ’s Wilfred Zaha on his hit-lit.". My man went all out for the derp brace misspelling both Wilfried Zaha and hit list.

We really need to replace the guy as early as possible for a good pre season. If he is going then send him off as early as possible and bring in his targeted replacement and not a cheap easy buy.

There is great ITK coming through in the Daily ITK thread but don't you just feel this will all end in tears as Levy contrives to screw up every deal? We will offer derisory low ballers for the A candidates and piss their clubs off. We'll then move to the B candidates and fuck that up as well and then maybe strike it lucky to get some last minute PSG cast off as they try to balance the books to pay De Light's wages or whatever. So much for operating differently.

Come on little bald man. Make me believe your not completely incompetent at doing a deal!

He’s the only chairman offering over £50m for Ndebele when he was bought last year for £7m.......

101 Great Goals made a very good point about this latest story

Moreover, just last week, journalist and writer Tom McDermott, who is also a member of the Football Writers’ Association, announced that Eriksen has rejected an approach from Man United.
Told that #MUFC did ask about Christian Eriksen but it was a “no” from the Dane and his team. #THFC pic.twitter.com/Ado5iA8GVQ

Spain is his first choice, but Solskjaer’s problem is attracting players. Elite level would prefer a Champions League club. Even the “next best” have reservations.

Now I don’t know who wrote the mirror article but this seems infinitely more credible than a scattergun article like this.

Im not an Eriksen fan.He is talented and a great passer and I think an even better scorer (very Greaves) but there is something lacking in his make up. He does well when the situation favours him,not when it doesn't. He isn't a game changer in that sense. Im sure he will do better with a more quality control ball team but when the spotlight is on him he usually goes down the tube. Not sure he will ever be a Modric. I mean watching him take corners is an ongoing sickening experience when you know what he really can do.

I will say it again and again and again: if Eriksen stays that would be awsome but he MUST have competition for starting place.

Agree. I’m an Eriksen fan but last year it was frustrating that he was u droppable, both CE and Poch got far too comfortable with one another.

If we get NDombele playing CM then Eriksen or another creative player at AM we will do well. NDombele is the key for me.
We are too weak bringing the ball up the field when the counter is not on and relied on Sissoko to create space (good but limited)
Eriksen death by a thousand short side and back passes never helped that, just the occasional highlite

I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be laughing at the thought of how ridiculous it would be for one of our players to leave us for Utd???

If we got a premium from United for Eriksen he can piss off. He apparently had all his stuff all packed away from before the CL final no wonder the greatest player since sliced bread was not at the Final he was already on the train.

So what if he did, he would have still wanted to win the final. It’s such a non story and probably not even factually correct

You are right but what is also right is for a world class player Eriksen goes missing too many times.

He's also been the deciding factor in crucial matches for us and for Denmark.

I really can't understand this urge to downplay our own players. The funny thing is that most of my non-spurs supporting mates ałl talk about Eriksen as one of the best playmakers in world. KDB and a few others are obviously the upper echelon of players but Eriksen is often discussed in the same sentence. It's only on this forum there's this constant debate wether he's overrated or not. Eriksen has the stats and the stature these days to back it up.
