I meant bossing games not just assists. You know like the way Xavi, Alonso, Pirlo, Modric and Keane have done in the past.

I see interest from Manure and Chelsea in a player like Christian. Tried and tested in the PL. But I am sure Levy would prefer to sell abroad even at a loss. I dont think he will go to Real but who knows.
Because he's not that ilk of player, and doesn't play that role? The equivalent for us in those roles has been Dembele, and now Winks.

Don't look now but both of you are making my argument for me! As I said these performances that you have quoted have been non existent this season in big games.
Lol...

Game winner vs Inter to save our UCL season, also scored the only goal against them in the first leg, assist vs Man City in both games of the QF, assist vs ManU away, assist vs Liverpool at home, 2 assists vs Chelsea at home, assist vs Arsenal away, and assist vs Liverpool away.

He had 2 other game winning goals this season, tied it up in the final game against Everton, his goals and assists were the difference against Crystal Palace & Leicester this season as well. But yes please do continue to tell me how he has been non existent in important games this season. We would have been absolutely fucked without him this season!

Agree with all of this, so much revisionism after his comments. Think a lot of people refuse to believe how consistently quality he is, b/c compared to Kane, Dele, Son and even Moura, his character is not as warm. His calm nature is misunderstood for not caring, which is completely unfair.

All this said, if he wants out now, see you later pal. But I think we need 2 players to replace him, particularly if they are coming from other leagues. We need to have options and factor in that it is unlikely both will hit the ground running. Lo Celso and one more please.

I don’t think he leaves. Madrid May be interested but he doesn’t seem to be a priority for them. Once it becomes apparent that they aren’t making that move for him then I think he’ll sign a new deal. Don’t see him moving to anyone else.

PSG? Barcelona or Liverpool?
He is not priority to RM.
I think they will look to him if they can offload Isco and Bale

He doesn’t really fit the Liverpool system though does he? And I’d imagine levy would double the price domestically. PSG and Barca are possible, Bayern too but the list isn’t very long and they probably all have other targets.

I'm absolutely sure he won't be sold domestically. The only options I see for him, are Real or Barcelona.

Juventus and Bayern doesn't pay the kind of fees Levy will demand, and PSG would at best be a sideways step.

I'm not sure Real or Barca will prioritise him over other more marketable and flashy signings, so after all he might just end up with a new contract here.

The way he has played this, all parties could live with that outcome it seems.

Have enjoyed Eriksen tenure ar Spurs.
He is a talent, will he blossom elsewhere, only moving will show that?
Could he stay at Spurs if we made some signings, ahainonly time will tell.

inho many are sad he may be going and are using a defensive mechanism to come to terms.
He has given us 5/6 good years with never a complaint and he is rarely injured, a model pro in fact.

So lets just wish him luck in his future, at Spurs or somewhere else and move onwards and upwards.

Could be an exciting chapter about to open at Spurs.

You can also add the crucial late winners against Burnley and Brighton. No top 4 without them alone.

That was where I said two other game winning goals. But I didn’t specify, apologies.

Sorry didn't see that bit! Those goals were arguably were more important, despite being against smaller teams. He stepped up when no-one else in the team could find a way through.

He does have a knack of big goals late in games. Palace away last season springs to mind. Night game? Think I was there but was quite drunk..!

Have to say, with your respective avatars this is a hilarious conversation to look at.

The only way I'm even remotely happy with him leaving is if we get Coutinho in exchange from Barcelona and still sign Ndombele or Lo Celso. Otherwise, it's pretty shit.

I thought I'd get a neutral perspective on how he's done in our big knockout games in the Champions league. These are the The Guardian match ratings for Eriksen:

Dortmund (H) 7
Dortmund (A) ?
City (H) 8
City (A) 7
Ajax (H) 4
Ajax (A) 7
Liverpool (N) 6

So one poor game, one exceptional game and they rated him good in the rest.

Spot on. Barely anyone like Eriksen in world football so if he goes we will lose so much creativity and will need to change the way we play and replace him with 2x creative attacking players otherwise we are going backwards not forwards.

And Brighton too. Without that strike I´m not sure we would have managed 4th.

Edit: Someone already mentioned that I see.

From my understanding of it, Eriksen had a plan of his career starting a few years back where he ends up at Barca or Real. As has been alluded to a couple of times, I think that his 'step up' is only referring to those two clubs, so I'd expect him to sign a new contract if they don't come in for him.

FFS, now you’ve got me MASSIVELY OPTIMISTICALLY imagining this as the 3-3 in a 4-3-3

Coutinho - Kane - Son
Winks - Ndombele - Lo Celso
