I
We need to keep him for at least another 2 seasons. He's too pivotal for us to sell him, but in a couple of years, Winks could be able to perform his role.

Gonna sound weird, but part of me hopes he does sign for Barcelona in the future. It's been his life ambition and he would deserve it if he signed for them. I think I'd be proud (although still upset), seeing someone who had spent 6 years with us becoming a key man in the midfield of the biggest club in the world.

I hope the only time he sets foot in the Camp Nou is when we have them in the Semi final of the CL which he bags 1 and assists another couple.

I suspect they do want him. But they don't have enough money to give Messi a new contract at the moment, so hard to see where they'd find the £70M odd they'd need to buy Christian.

Although I would expect a very public tapping up / unsettling exercise this summer.

Selling of a few players maybe? Feels like they've bought a couple of players who aren't really contributing.

Perfect - swap deal with Lionel!

You have to be kidding me? Some people think he wouldn't go to Barca?

What do you think Christian wants to say to his grandkids when he's sitting in his house in Denmark in 40 years?

I was in the title race in the Premier League
or
I was playing in the Champions League final with the greatest football player of all time

He would fit in perfectly at Barca and is exactly what they need. Unfortunately Barca have never been known for buying the players they need and, as someone else has said, I suspect they'll be dicks out for Coutinho before they come knocking on our door.

My point wasn't that he wouldn't go at all, more that the headline news is "Barcelona want to sign Eriksen".
Who wants to sign him, cos it sure as hell isn't Luis Enrique seeing as he won't be managing them, and they don't have another manager in place, making transfer decisions yet.
Sure, shit load of money, but I'd want assurances the new manager actually wants me...

Fair enough mate, but I think most people and most players would leave any team to play with Messi regardless of who the manager is, isn't or will be.

I think for the big clubs on the continent it is quite common for the signings to be made by the hierarchy rather than the manager. More often than not there isn't a manager but a Head Coach who works with what they have.

That was a performance of such heart, effort and skill from Eriksen tonight - in a team playing poorly, with low energy - that I'd make him my Spurs POTS off the back of it. He was probably in the Top 3 before tonight anyway, but he goes to the top for me on tonight alone.
