FFS. He wasn't great against WBA but neither were most, but he's been excellent this season and was fantastic last season with far more good games than bad. It's ridiculous how one result and one poor game from a player can being out all the trolls. Where are you when he's playing well (which is most of the time)?

One of our best players, I really wonder about the mental capacity of those that don't like him or want him sold.

not being funny but if set pieces were taken away from football i would give eriksen a free transfer and subsidise his travel costs n hotel.

20 mill. do me a favour.

No being funny but if running was banned from football I'd give everyone besides loris a free transfer......

It's getting really easy to spot the football fans that base most of their opinion on Fifa games.

Eriksen is arguably the one outfield player we would miss most after Kane.

Every team needs someone like him (Coutinho - Liverpool, Silva - City, Ozil- Arsenal, Mata - Man Utd, Faberrgas - Chelsea) and if they don't have one then they're, well, check out the rest of the table.

He's simply the most difficult player for us to replace currently in our squad and if you can't see that, well, really, there's no talking to you.

to be in the top bracket his dribbling needs to get better.

Yes but, take any "good" player and take any attribute they don't pocess and magically brandish them with it and they'd suddenly then be a top bracket player.

Same thing goes the other way - take away Messi's dribbling skills and what do you have? Still a fucking genius probably - okay, bad example.

He's young, there's no reason he can't dramatically still improve.

I think, even on days like yesterday when he doesn't create much or provide an inventive spark, he's a vital component in our current DNA. Having a player in that front four who'll see the ball 50-60 times a game and who actually has a bit of composure and a brain is vital amongst all the youthful but erratic exuberance that the rest are bringing.

Most impressive is how he's been prepared to drastically improve his work off the ball. He's still not what you'd call tenacious or the bravest but he does press properly and intelligently with the group and when you add that to his metronomic footballing qualities it's a good combination.

He's not perfect, he has bad days, he's not undroppable or un-subbable, especially with players like Pritchard and Onomah bubbling under. But I think he's a vital piece of our current jigsaw.

Some astoundingly poor opinions in this thread. It's as if people still haven't changed their opinions on valuations since the year 2000. Happily sell Eriksen for anything over 20m?! Christ almighty.

Class footballer IMO.

Agree with BC as well, he's improved off the ball even though he's not the most tenacious/industrious...there's definitely an improvement there.

His biggest quality, other than free kicks off course, is his all round intelligence in his passing and moving. You take that out of our team and we'll really feel it. That's why he sees so much of the ball, because he has that intelligence to find pockets of space and then show for the ball.

His composure and football intelligence is absolutely vital for us in the final third. I don't understand what people who don't rate him expect because an upgrade on Eriksen would only be a Silva or Iniesta type player - which unless you are high on drugs you know are out of our league.

Eriksen is lucky that Pritch is injured. Best outfield player? Give me a break, his meaningful contributions are sporadic at best.

Class player although I have been critical of him jumping out of tackles in the past. I think he might be a player who really peaks in the old fashioned way (at 28-29 years old) and I hope we give him a new contract so that his best years are here.

Plenty of clubs will be looking at him at present as that type of player is difficult to come by even if he isnt in the very top bracket yet.
