Why are people losing their shit over what JJ said? He also inferred, in response to somebody asking what happens if Madrid weren't interested, Eriksen would stay if no offer was made.

Nothing JJ has said is new. He told us this ages ago lol.

And with respect, he gets things wrong - everyone does.

I asked him if we was interested in Dembele once, no was the answer. Guess the rest

Don't be silly.

And for those people who think he won't last at Real need a reality check, it's only this season his form has dropped and has shown inconsistency but I put that down to the fact his heads been turned and his shelf life at Spurs has come to an end, he's been with us for 6 years, he was bound to go stale - it happens.

We will miss him big time and it won't be long until people are clamouring for him and rue the fact that he's no longer in the team.
TBF, pretty much every season he has had a dip in form for a month or 2 (usually around November if memory serves), but I don't think it is a coincidence that when he has a dip in form the team usually does too.

He will be a huge loss and we just have to hope Zidane doesn't want him.

We should be all out for young Brooks at Bournemouth.

If only he hadn't signed that new contract a few weeks ago. :sorry:

Brooks, Kelly and Aarons were my 3 most wanted signings for the summer but Brooks can be taken off that list.

Will be so disappointed to see him go but completely understand. To lose him and Toby in the same window is going to put the focus on our recruitment team. To lose 2 of our best players especially our only creative player is going to be bloody hard to replace.

He’s clearly got one foot in Spain already. What’s telling for me is that he’s taken his foot off the gas for us, I’m not sure a player with that lack of commitment will fair well under the scrutiny of the white hanky brigade.
Look at Bale, someone who have his all in every game for us in that final season, right up until the last game. He’d had his head turned and was pretty much nailed on to go to Madrid.

He has given us 6 years, he has been a fantastic servant. If he wants to move on let him move on, just hope Danny boy can squeeze out as much as possible.
Its not that I want him to leave, I am very much of the mind that when a player no longer wants to be with us we make the most of the sale and move on.

The key for the club, is that Eriksen is in his last year, so accept a decent offer early in the window which will help our pre season recruitment and integration. However we know that Levy will wait, as will RM as they do not have oodles of money by all accounts.

How much do we think he is worth in view of the last year ?

He's worth what somebody's willing to pay. If he had time on his contract I'd be disappointed with anything less than the Coutinho fee. As it stands I think we'd be hard pressed to get half of that.

Sadly I think Eriksen will end up as one of those players most Spurs fans don't realise is genuine quality and one of our most important players until he's gone.

Honestly I like to think Tottenham fans have a good level of intelligence but finding holes in Eriksen at the moment is unreal. He has patches when he's on fire and others where he maybe doesn't assist or score as much but he's such an important player. Anyone wanting rid when we have a net spend of an average £8m or so for each of the last 11 seasons needs their heads tested. Who do you genuinely think we can attract that is of a higher quality? If he stays it's absolutely huge for the club, he's one of the very few that has top quality running through his veins.

Put him around better players and you'll see how class he is. The issue isn't Eriksen, it's the fact we haven't got anyone of similar quality that does what he does to rotate him with in the squad. There's as much burden on his shoulders as ther is on Kane's, the only difference is Sonny can step up when Harry is out, nobody in our team can fill in when it comes to the things Eriksen offers us.

I hope he stays and all of you should feel the same. A top professional that would probably be more highly thought of if he threw his arms around Mark Noble style. Shame his key work gets overlooked so frequently.

He's like that beautiful love you don't want to let go of, but let's be honest this pseudo eden needs some fresh arse.

Not like for like, but if Christian goes, which seems likely, we go balls deep for Kai Havertz. Going to be some player. Wont get another opportunity as well.

This also reflects what past scout David Magrone has said about Eriksen. Eriksen doesn't boss a game, but he fits smoothly into any level of quality of the players around him, and the better surrounding payers, the better Eriksen.

Joni got this....

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot.

I'm kinda 'Blue' on this.
