Kinda reason why we can’t lose him. When he doesn’t turn up we can look pretty damn average. Replacing him at his best, when we’re at our best is gonna be nigh on impossible.
Don’t blame him for wanting to leave, we’re likely going nowhere. His in the moment performances are verging on pathetic though considering his ability.
It doesn't make sense to me as to why he is just seemingly going through the motions. If Madrid is watching him, then what are they seeing? Surely making himself unplayable (though right now Poch doesn't have any option but to play him), then he would hold a good set of cards - Madrid would be def rubbing their hands & we would be under pressure to pay him top dollar. Right now he is playing well below par and doing himself no favours imo.

I don’t think he’s checked out personally. I think he’s just in poor form. He does have occasions in season where he’s off it a bit but this seems a longer stretch, there is the possibility the comments from Denmark manager about chronic injury has some truth in it. He doesn’t seem anywhere near what he was last season, he can’t even seem to pass the ball properly at times which usually is a given.

Yeah his passing has been woeful, as well as his free kicks - maybe there is some truth in that. I remember Eriksen being one of the most feared dead ball specialists and now our main man is bloody Trippier. Perhaps the reason why we haven't aggressively put out a decent contract is that we know this? Either way it makes no odds - we are shit with him and without him!

For me, the last two games have been unacceptable. I'm not bothered by the lack of creativity and poor decision making, players go through bad form, but it's more the lack of Putting his foot in or leaning on an opposition player running right next to him.

If he injured, rest him. If he gone, don't play him.

He’s been atrocious for a while now. His goals have papered over the cracks massively.

Literally he is worse than Siggy was for us at the moment out there in the middle of the pitch. Offers absolutely nothing.

It seems some fans are finally starting to notice how shit he’s been.

I'm not sure anyone will buy him. He's always been hot and cold like this. And we'll want a ridiculous fee. The start of our last year at White Hart Lane he was way worse than he has been recently. Looked like he wanted to leave then as well but suddenly turned it on again.

It'll be well known he's not consistent if we can obviously see it. You don't get your big move as a player by playing like shit for no reason.

A few of us called him out months ago and got dog's abuse. Not sure if he's leaving and lost interest or Madrid don't want him and he's sulking but he's been pants for ages. Great ability, no bottle.

I absolutely love watching Eriksen play when he’s at his best, but I will not miss watching him going into tackles like he’s sticking his big toe into the bath to see if it’s too warm.

Talk about "don't mention the war" this site has Eriksen or Ericsan or Erriksen fans going ballistic if you try to say " Ericsen has been poor for most of the season excepting one or two games" you will be lambasted as some person that knows nothing about football and for goodness sake don't mention how bad his free kicks and corners are.Having said all that all will be forgiven by me if he does the business on Saturday against Arsenal

Not sure Madrid will want/can afford him and Hazard. However if we can get 80m or more then I guess i'd take it, reinvesting in squad being a caveat of that also.

Is he really good enough for Madrid ? When on form definitely but he goes missing for so many matches and the Madrid fans won’t put up with that.

I think he's missing Dele. He's struggling to find time and space, and he's one who needs it. Dele wanders, and makes runs in behind defenders, and creates space. Teams are suffocating him at the moment.
Still can't excuse his lack of effort in the challenge though, weak as piss really.

I'm of the mind that Eriksen's issue is inconsistency. the run behind the defense for the 1 v 1 today was brilliant timing but as everyone alludes too, he disappears. he doesn't seem to be able to impose his will on the game when needed this year. regarding, Madrid, you couldn't be more right. the only question is whether the Spanish game suits his style better. but considering the treatment Bale gets, one would have to think Eriksen would get slaughtered if he was inconsistent there.

Definitely noticed that today, he would get the ball and immediately 3 Arsenal defenders were right on top of him.

He is way out of form right now, he can trap and control a ball if his life depended on it. I know he is playing out of positions as LCM/CAM, but the mistakes he is making simply shouldn't and can't be happening if he think one of the big clubs will come for him.
