He came into my shop in Enfield today needing a replacement lead for his Playstation. I happened to ask him whether he was going to keep playing with the US and said he didn't know and shrugged his shoulders, he didn't seem to keen on it to be honest. Seemed a nice guy and was very polite (y)

Was just probably thinking mutherfucker hurry the fuck up and go fetch my lead.

He'd be crazy to commit to the US. Long haul flights just to play Mexico over and over again, with a team of sub standard players. England's going through a trough at the moment but his career will last 15+ years and they're likely to become competitors again at some point.

I got him his lead before I recognised who he was to be fair, he seemed familiar and then I noticed all the under armour gear and played it cool . I've had a few players come in, I met Yedlin just a couple days before he left for Newcastle, was wondering why he seemed so miserable.

Maybe because you asked him too many questions?

Pochettino: "The level we have is very competitive, Cameron shows in every [training] session he is at the same level as others."

Edit: Okay, thanks @Lemon! :D

"He's in my plans. If he's not, I'll tell him first and then you. I'm always honest, you know me very well."

The second sentence was about Wimmer.

Just started playing the Beta of Football Manager 2017 and my first signing as new Leeds manager was to get CCV on loan. He has been rubbish and really needs to improve very quickly imo.

He's been horrible whenever I've played him for Spurs as well. Lost 3-2 to Brügge in the Champions League and 1-0 to fucking Rochdale in the EFL cup with him in the starting lineup. :banghead:

Edit: I'm obviously not giving him all the blame for the Rochdale result. We should be able to put a goal or two past a League 1 side.

USA! USA! USA! USA! Our long national nightmare is over! The savior is here! CCV!!!!!!!!

But seriously, so pumped he's with our national team. This kid has such a bright future and we need defenders in this team.

Solid, inspired confidence and certainly did not appear out of his depth despite his age. What a fabulous crop of young players we have, along with Alli, Kane, Dier, Winks, Onomah, GKN all bubbling ready to boil.

<Edit: Alli left out in error>

Not to mention that Dele is only 20 as well!

Carter Vickers only weakness seems to be he is not as expansive as Toby or Vertonghen or Dier when it comes to passing or running with the ball. The one thing I saw yesterday was he was very reluctant to pass forward or run forward with the ball.
May be he has the ability , may be Poch asked him to keep it simple & tidy and not be expansive. He is certainly not a risk taker like Stones. Good thing is , he did his job when it mattered the most with a great tackle to prevent a Villa goal.

At 18 years, he is showing great maturity already & seems to be level headed.

I believe he should go out on loan atleast till end of season to grow his game. Not sure what good is to keep a CB like him without game time. Club like Fulham or Brentford or even Hull in PL could benifit from him.

Thought he played really well. Agbonlahor went and tried to target him from the start and apart from missing a couple of early headers against him he was comfortable against him. A good performance against an experienced premier league striker (albeit not a very good one any more).

Poch taking Toby off too instead of him will give him lots of confidence that the manager believes in him.

You answered your own question to this with the bit about him not playing expansive enough football. If he stays around our first team and trains with Poch we stand a chance of forming a defender that suits us.

If we pack him off on loan to the clubs you mentioned do you think he is going to learn how to play out from the back?

For a 19 year old - he is quality. CCV is the real deal. Hope he's gonna stay with us for many years, could be world class. A bit worried he might change club due to lack of playing time because of Toby/Dier/Verts.
