Why play for the US? Because you're playing for a country where you'll very likely end up starting in a WC early on whereas with England, its not as nailed on because he doesnt play for Liverpool, United or Chelsea. Also because there will be familiarity with a few of the players from the youth teams. Not to mention, he's apparently close with his father who is American and lives in America and the US has given him a ton of international football while England hasnt even given him a look.

Alao, just because we're not full of world class players doesnt mean we're not a good team. I'd fancy us to beat England in a competitive match tbh. The US plays for the team and fights for the team. If England showed even half as much fight as the US, they'd be much better on the international stage.

You're talking as if half the England first X1 isn't made up of Spurs players. Sure, he's probably familiar with some of the players from the US youth team but I'm sure he's more familiar with our players who are the actual spine of the England team.

Really hope he does elect for England, it's much more convenient for than him fucking off around the other side of the world every international break.

I don't want any of our players to play for dum wits like Big Sam.

That wont be for a few years though. Like it or not, Big Sam will be managing in Moscow.

We joke about this, but I can really see the FA appointing him:eek:

CCV will be 20 by the time the world cup comes round and it's very unlikely that he'll be starter for us by then so who's managing England won't matter as he won't get selected.

No chance in hell the FA would appoint a loose cannon like Tim.

To be fair, no one expected the telegraph to go on a hit piece binge with managers. Oh well, #SherwoodForEngland2016
I know, not mocking, more pleased it won't be the case. Now it means CCV (or others) may get a chance and it doesn't have to be Smalling-Cahill.

If you scroll down here, Grant Wahl(a soccer insider in the US with connects in Europe and the states) says CCV is all USA at the senior level right now...Says the earliest we'd cap tie him is later in the hex, but I wouldnt be surprised if Klinsmann calls him up in November and subs him in late in one of the matches to cap tie him, tbh. I'm almost positive he'll be called up in October for the friendly matches since Brooks is hurt, and Klinsmann will likely go Europe heavy because MLS clubs are fighting for playoff places.
