Very talented player - it's his head that is the problem - attitude/composure/intelligence are severely lacking at the moment and he turns 24 in a couple of months. He would frustrate the hell out of me if he played for us.

Same here how many games of his do I have to watch to see this 'genius'. He was awful for France in the Euro's, Sissoko was miles better, he has played maybe 2 goodish games for United so far out of a few dozen, he doesn't dominate a midfield, his passing is bang average mostly but he can be effective on occasion around the box so for me it's like a 2nd rate Lampard thus far.

Maybe he will become a genius and the best player in the world but he needs to massively improve. Let's not forget Lamela killed the Italian league with Roma and we paid a hefty £30 million a few seasons ago.

Alli is 20 in his second season at top level and he just gets better and better, his movement and control are brilliant. Pogba has it all to prove and at the moment Pogba would not get in our first 11, De Bruye would, Sanchez would, Coutinho would, Hazard would but Pogba no.

Okay you putting genius in quotes is just solidifying my point, if you try and ignore what other people say about him and form your own opinion, if the media big him up to be a genius that's hardly his fault is it? Also for Utd how are you expecting him to come into a team and play well straight away, he's been moved around from AMF to DMF although they've now found his correct position for him in CMF on the left of a midfield three and he's playing much better and has majorly contributed to Utd's good form recently.

Pogba probably wouldn't fit into our starting eleven and we wouldn't benefit from his attributes as we play a different formation to where he'd excel, no but what does that have to do with his ability? Also not sure why you're saying that those attacking players who are some of the best in the league would get into our team and Pogba wouldn't who is a central midfielder, where is the connection?

Connection is pretty clear Alli has played deep lying centre mid, attacking midfield and now almost a second striker. If you want a comparison then to Dembele, Demble is better, Herrera and Carrick have been been better for United if we are talking centre mids. Look I am not saying he is crap, but I don't see any place for him in our first 11.

Where's the connection to those attacking players you listed, De Bruyne, Sanchez, Coutinho and Hazard would get into our team because that's quite obviously the weakest part of our team but Pogba is a CMF where our midfield is one of the strongest parts of our team, again no idea what this has to do with his ability or how he is rated?

It's like a Chelsea fan saying that Kane wouldn't get into their team because they have Costa and using that as a stick to beat Kane with, it's a poor argument at best.

If you ever want to see a player who believes in his own hype look no further than Paul #Pogba.

Put some consistent performances lad then get a poncy hair doo.

Not using as a stick to beating him with, The original discussion was an Alli Pogba one which is fair as Alli can and has played multiple positions like Pogba, for me Alli is the better footballer, simple, we could switch Alli back to where he was playing last season in the middle at times and he was also good and that was just his first season at the top level.

Pogba is a good player the way Willian is a good player, but for me Alli is simply a better footballer and that was the arguement originally although not started by me. Id rather spend £90 mil on Alli than Pogba although 90 mil is insane. If you want to switch the arguement to Pogba verses someone else then go for it.

He'd be great in our squad. Man Utd's play (from the little i've seen) is stifling him. Easy to criticise someone who isn't at his best but it's a bit shortsighted.

Did the 'PP' highlighted in his hair stand for 'Piss Poor'?

But as I keep saying Pogba and Alli are different players so there should be no comparison. Also playing Alli in a midfield 2 which we did against Monaco failed miserably because he's not as effective as he is when he's near the box and he isn't as trust worthy with the ball as say Dembele or Wanyama is. Even when he played as a no10 or on the left he certainly didn't show the kind of consistency he's showing now. Poch is playing him in the best position for him now and that's off Kane where he we can maximise his attributes so he has a positive affect on the game.

Not rally here to compare Pogba to anyone, this is a discussion about him really not a comparison so not sure why you're bringing other players into it. Like I said the comparison is stupid and should never have been brought up, it's just unnecessary willy waving by two sets of fans trying to out do each other.

You don't seem to understand what type of player Pogba is. He's more a Dembele than a KDB, Hazard, Alli, Sanchez etc.

If you can't see the difference Pogba's ball retention, physicality, athleticism and passing range has made to United's side this season that's fine. But don't criticise him for not performing a role he isn't there to perform.

How many games did you see him play for Juve and I mean actually watch him and not YouTube vids of him banging in goals? He's bossed plenty of games in Serie A and in the CL. He is a superb player, for a modern day midfielder he has it all athleticism, pace, strength, shooting, skills, technique so I really don't understand what people are actually seeing when they watch him play.

Seems to be there is a common misconception with a player like Pogba, people expect him to be dominating and tearing up the league just because he cost so much money but reality is like any other player he needs time to settle like all players. What has happened is that he's been praised to high heaven and people's expectancy levels have shot up and when he doesn't produce people go way to far in their criticism to knock him down, it happens all the time, it' ridiculous.

Also comparing him to Delle Alli (I know you didn't do this) is stupid and frankly needs to stop because we're getting polarising opinions here and in turn it's doing Pogba a total disservice and those Utd fans on Redcafe are playing down Alli's ability just to form some sort of counter argument. Firstly even though they have similar abilities they play in different roles on the pitch so how is the comparison fair, secondly Alli is only in his 2nd season at the top level whilst Pogba is in his 5th, Alli hasn't played in the CL on a consistent basis yet and he's still only young and Pogba has only in his 5th month in the league, again how is that fair?

Can't disagree about Man Utd, they have brought a player and a brand which is why he cost so much money and they need to shoe horn him into the side at all costs, but if you're assessing him as a player ignore the price tag and the circus that comes with it and evaluate what he does on the pitch, not what happens off it.
Probably about 15 Juve games! That's the joy of football we all have different opinions but Crespo and Veron to ripped up Serie A!

It wasn't me who originally compared him to Alli, I was agreeing that he is a better footballer, as for Dembele I would rather have Dembele than Pogba. He is a good player but even in the United midfielder I feel Herrera is the one making the difference.

And Henry, Bergkamp and Vieira were nothing special in Serie A :)

I just told Paul Pogba that was my favourite dab of the season. He said What are you on about? I said For the handball. He just stormed off.
