Charged means they have enough evidence to make them think they will get a conviction.

Not good.

He's out of control..and the sadness is, he can't help himself.

A classy footballer, but a deeply flawed individual with serious mental issues.

One count of sexual assault by touching, which happened in August. I really need to know more details before making a judgement or giving an opinion.

I know yours is an old but it appears that the victom’s statement was Gascoigne was drunk and pestered her for a bit before giving her an unwanted kiss.

His defence was he had heard a passenger make a comment about her gave her a kiss to boost her confidence.

So it seems he agreed to kissing her but the details around it are in dispute.

Yeah just see about the potential second charge... beating?!?
Christ almighty, based on what qualifies as "beating" nowadays, it's a shock there aren't more cases being tried.

When the judge summed up the case on Wednesday, he told jurors that "assault by beating" is committed if the defendant "intentionally applies unlawful force to another who does not consent to it".

Very murky water. It appears that the woman was partly harassed and kissed on a train by a man she didn’t know and she had done nothing to open the door to contact by him.

So I have sympathy for her as a human being should be able to get on a train without putting up with this.

But it does not appear that a crime has been committed. Though where the law stands on unwanted kisses I do not know.

You don't want cases of harrassment against women on trains to be investigated?

If it's my daughter that it happens I'd be fuming about it.
However, if it turns out to be just a drunken smacker, messing about, then I think I'd settle for an apology and leave it at that. Drag it through courts??! Nah...

Like I said it earlier it is murky water. I think we have all seen people harrassed in the streets and it is not nice to see. There are times when people in the public have stepped up and dealt with the situation but so often we say nothing or look away to avoid confrontation.

So if on occasion a case like this goes to court then my last concern is about taxpayers money. So much money is wasted anyway.
