Our away support was quality once again yesterday. Can someone please tell me what that chant they were singing for the first 20 minutes in the 2nd half. It was loud and to the tune of "Champions League you're having a laugh"
My kids were asking what it was we were singing & what the words were but I didn't have a clue.
Thanks in advance for whoever enlightens me.

Was it...
"We sang it in France and,
We sang it in Spain,
We sang in the sun and,
We sang in the rain,
They tried to stop us, and look what we did...
The thing I love most is being a yid
Being a yid,
Being a yid,
The thing I love most is being a yid.."

Can we stop singing that "La la la la la la la la la you're shit" chant.

I can just about accept it when you've just done Chelsea but not to a lower league side. Poor form.

I've seen this complaint before but It's just a bit of fun, there's nothing nasty about it.

This. When I heard that on TV I was embarrassed. I think singing that to lower league side demeans our club by association. It's very unworthy of otherwise fantastic supporters. Please don't sing it other than to good premiership sides we are beating, then it's funny.

To be specific about the tune, which is indeed the basis for "Champions League, you're having a laugh" and also "Arsenal fan, on a string": it is Tom Hark, most famously popularised by a bunch of dodgy ska punks from Brighton called The Piranhas.

So glad someone asked this as I was wondering - I'm usually really good at deciphering the lyrics to new chants but couldn't get that one.

My brother took his 7 year old son to his first Spurs game yesterday (y)

Thanks to all the away fans making it enjoyable, don't think he'll be able to get him to a game at the lane but i think he's got him hooked to Spurs for life now... poor little sod

New chant? it's been about for ages. Certainly my favourite as it's not stolen from elsewhere or taking the piss out of another club.

I always laugh to myself when the broadcaster adjusts the volume on the chanting. If you listen they play that chant with normal volume and then as soon as the fans change the chant to an arsenal fan on a string the crowd noise suddenly goes quiet.

If you are ever unfortunate enough to have arsenal on sky and you can hear what sounds like an atmosphere you will know sky are ramping the pitchside mics up to full volume.

This point needs to keep being rammed home until people stop doing it. It's great singing that in the last 10 minutes against our rivals in the top 6, or even against teams like West Ham or Leeds that we've got historical rivalries with. But against Fulham? Or the teams scrapping around at the bottom of the Premier League? Completely classless. If you saw Chelsea or Man Utd fans singing that against lower league opposition you'd be up in arms so let's get our own house in order. So embarassing.

And West Ham.
