Manager Mauricio Pochettino has dumped Onomah, who has made 32 appearances for Tottenham, into the club’s under-23s. Onomah, 22, has been stunned by Pochettino’s decision to be moved away from the first-team and will leave this summer.

I am stunned and sad about this. Guess its time for Onomah to leave.

Never quite understood the hype that bubbled around Onomah, always seemed fairly limited. Hasn't set the world alight on loan, so makes sense to let him go.

"Dumped". "Stunned. "Frozen out".

Bollocks. He's just another talented player who isn't quite good enough, or perhaps quite focused enough, to pay for a perennial top-4, CL-finalist team. The journalism has been cooked up out of nowhere. It's just another player, like Janssen and Nkoudou, who will probably have a good career somewhere else.

"Frozen out" as in given lots of chances to prove himself?

He's played 32 times for Spurs, had a couple of very high-profile loans and done nothing with them really.

He's only a year younger than Dele, Winks and Sanchez, and has never even vaguely looked capable of holding his own in the side. It's tough near the top but it's the reality of where we are now.

He wouldn't get anywhere near our matchday squad on merit, doesn't mean he won't be a decent player for someone else, and we need to trim our squad.

He’s being linked with Mainz, Mönchengladbach, Frankfurt and Augsburg

Mainz is a decent club but are always inconsistent in the table, Mönchengladbach and Frankfurt are good and will compete for European places
Augsburg are being linked with Oxford as well but they’re relegation candidates

Really hope he goes to Mönchengladbach, I believe they’ve been linked with him before, they already have Keanan Bennetts and will play in Europe next season

Kane wasn't great on loan neither. There was evidence of a talented player when he was in the development squads, he was also very good in the under 21 tournament and had decent outings for us when selected in European games.

Hard to play well with an injury. Being in the under 23 squad is not that bad, he could be just needing some rehabilitation.

Oh of course, Kane was a bit of a freak occurance in that sense, we needed a striker and a gamble was taken on him. We don't need to gamble on a midfielder who doesn't seem to even know what position he plays in or know how to impact games.

He had 2 good loan spells and 1 bad and 1 where he got injured early, Onomah has had 1 okay and 1 bad.

Reports that Fulham want cash + player for Sess, Onomah would be top of my list for that deal.

That would be a great move for him along as he can play his preferred position.

Central midfield would see him blossom into a very good player.

He's at a very strange place in his career, he's at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take and what his best position is.
