Its the not reinstating the two cup games into the season ticket, which is the most disappointing thing. It's the domestic cup attendances that will suffer, not the champions league ones.
We sold out for a pre-season friendly at £25 per ticket, as long as they're sensible on pricing I expect cup attenances will be fine. Plenty of people who want to go but struggle to get tickets for league matches.

Goons have 7 cup games on their season ticket. D&D must have a right chuckle reading how many people are happy parting with a further £170 +for 3 games.

But Woolwich supporters might prefer the cup games removed if it made the season tickets cheaper. These days many fans have no interest in FA or League Cup games as attendances show.

Unfortunately we don't have as many fans as the big clubs in the world or are backed by a country.

You have a choice if you want to pay it or not.

Of course and I choose to pay but I also think it's a bit too high considering the lack of cup games

I think at least a big discount for cup games and first option would be good. Then only the season ticket holders that want to turn up will go for them.

DO you still get loyalty points if you dont go through turnstiles? Because of the ticket issue my ticket was scanned at the bottom of the steps and me and a few others got taken round the back of the stadium (skipping turnstiles) by a steward. I just checked my account and the loyalty point hasnt been added yet

I can understand why the club might have felt that Champions League games were a painful inclusion, so I don't understand why they don't just make it 2 domestic cup games. They'd almost certainly be against lower league opposition, so you'd only be filling a stadium for games you'd struggle to sell out for anyway.

They could put in the terms that there's no ticket exchange or refunds for any seasons with fewer than two home domestic cup matches.

Think we should all wait and see how the ckub prices both cup and champions league games before we chastise fully.
Totally understand arguements for cup matches to be included as was before, similarly was one of those who backed a triple play for champs league in the Trust survey.
My cash only goes so far but the club realises there will be takers for anything i dont buy on my season ticket.
Wont hold my breath in hoping sensible pricing follows, but in a business environment of supply and demand the club will only do whats right for them.
Would help if those who bought tickets to early games were looked on favourably if we reach another final

I'd rather the two home cups weren't on the season ticket as it allows fans who can't get tickets an opportunity for a game.

There's a lot of fans who can't afford memberships and big game prices but a 20 pound adult/10 pound kids ticket gives them a chance to go.

For me, it's just another category D game but for someone less fortunate it's a cup final.

That’s fair enough I’d say. But it should reflect in the price of season tickets.

The price of season tickets is set by what people are willing to pay.
They are really testing the limits of willing. It’s my biggest outgoing after my mortgage. At the end of the day it should be a leisure activity, something left over after the necessities. But Levy knows for some it is held dear like a necessity and that’s why people are ‘willing’. It’s become more like an addiction.

Don't get me wrong, i can't afford one. Lucky enough to afford a can of guiness while watching an illegal stream.

Matchday vlog thing from Villa fans, with views of stadium from away perspective. Several complimentary comments about the place. Villa fans come across well here. Good vid.
