Levy actually selling the NFL commentary booth as a premium package with expert game analysis from a spurs legend for 6 people. £700 ahead for NLD incredible literally gonna bleed every penny out the stadium lol.

If anyone’s interested, Schneider put up an advertorial on the lecky equipment they put into the stadium:

https://missioncriticalpower.uk/spurred-on-to-achieve-high-resilience/

The stadium is apparently supplied by four different substations, with two standby gensets and a bunch of UPSs including ones for the datacenter, the turnstiles and control systems for the stadium and the pitch.

I wonder if we have a provision to install something like the 3MW battery that the Gunners recently installed.

Schneider also supplied the distribution boards and lighting control systems. They mention the fixed pitch growlights so I assume SCX used their products in the retractable pitch system too.

And apparently, the software they installed with the panels could tell where and when any lightbulbs go out. That’s fancy.

All in all rather technical, but it’s an interesting and informative read, right until that cheeky last sentence.

Also some more additional info on the tech inside the stadium from the Daktronics customer event held in the stadium, along with bonus stadium pics:

https://www.avinteractive.com/news/...dium-success-story-showcase-event-18-07-2019/

>Daktronics is using their high-end Blue series in the stadium screens.
>Tripleplay feeds the content to the screens (assuming its all the interior screens) while the exterior screens are fed and controlled by Daktronics Venus
>Preloaded content comes from 7thSense Delta Servers
>Ross Dashboard controls presets for the bowl and Crestron equipment handles the auditorium among other areas. Not sure if they’re also using Ross for the production switcher in the venue, if it even has one.
>There was a previous post in SSC that mentioned Riedel being the intercom/audio supplier but this article mentions us also using Riedel equipment for video routing
>QSC is mentioned though I have no idea if we’re using just their amplifiers or their mixing equipment too. I believe it was previously mentioned that we were using harman/kardon speakers that were unavailable in Europe at the time.

Anyway, I’m not in any way an A/V engineer but this all piques some personal curiosity. I was thinking of posting the article somewhere and have more experienced people critique the club’s setup just to know how good we have it now, but I have no idea where in all honesty.

You’d really be surprised I’d you saw levy in a hard hat digging for money around the stadium with his metal detector ?

But tbh I think it’s quite accepted now that literally can be used for emphasis and not to just describe something that is actually going to happen.

Not. By. Me.

"They" as third person singular neuter pronoun is fine, because it adds something to the language that the culture is demanding.

"Literally" to mean its opposite adds nothing to the language. It takes away a clear meaning and substitutes confusion with "figuratively". There isn't another clear and economical way to say "actually, in real life, not metaphorically".

It's a rule I follow whenever there's a new meaning or a new word. If it adds meaning and clarity, it's good. If it reduces people's ability to express themselves clearly, I don't use it.

And then, of course, I send out my carefully-selected squad of masked grammar-superheroes (all of whom look exactly like me) to round up and execute all offenders. We generally prefer death by split infinitive.

Hi all!

I'm currently conducting a piece of academic research as part of a degree at the University of Oxford, and it concerns the relationship between security and atmosphere at the new Tottenham Stadium. I've made a thread in Spurs Chat that some of you might already have seen.

As part of this research, I have created an online survey aimed at Spurs fans who've visited the stadium. It should only take 5 minutes to complete, and all your responses are completely anonymised, so there's no personal risk to you.

In the long-term, this study will hopefully be used to shed light on the implications of security measures at new stadia (an issue which perhaps concerns many of you).

Below are the links to the online survey, and a small information form answering any questions you may have about your rights as participants in this research study.

Thank you very much in advance, and any responses would be really appreciated! This should form a significant part of my research so please do get involved, it doesn't take long and I'd be happy to additionally donate to SC!

Pie and a pint gone up to £5.50, fearing that means an extra 50p on all the other drinks too.

This is what happens when people tell the club they are happy about something in a survey!

'What do you think of the concession pricing at the new stadium'?'

I don't care if it's pie and a pint for 50p, always say too high!

I'll be going there for the first time on Sunday, is it very much worth staying behind after the match for a while to avoid congestion in the tubes?

Depends where you're going. WHL branch is closed so might be fewer people heading to Seven Sisters if you're getting the tube from there. But if you mean the trains back towards Liverpool Street then definitely stay as Tottenham Hale/Northumberland Park will be rammed.
