Yeah I’m sure the food options will be reviewed every season. Ones that don’t sell well will be axed. Another plus of the club being in control of the branding. Surprised they don’t have a bagel stall or at least I didn’t see one.

But the food Outlets aren’t chains like Nandos or Burger King thry are just themed outlets all run by one caterer which is actually levy catering company. So it’s nothing like hiring the space to a known brand. The only actual brand in the stadium is beavertown. I think the deal would be the catering company have a set contract and the club keep the receipts. There’s a reason Levy has tried to keep people in the stadium longer and it’s not to make the catering company rich.
But these aren’t concessionaires non of the branded food outlets exist outside the stadium it’s all one caterer.

The linesman, smashed olive, nan and noodle are our own brands that we created.
Yeah I understand with Beavertown. But 'Naan & Noodle', 'Smashed Olive', 'N17 Grill' etc. are creations of Tottenham's making, they're not fast food/restaurant chains.

That's interesting and I didn't know that. That would change the risk/rental/turnover arrangements, in ways I can't guess, but I still reckon THFC would have each one set up as a company, with a lease-type interest in its own space. Otherwise THFC carries the can if one of the operators fucks up and goes bust from poor management.

Those bottom up dispensers really need a shield around them so when they lift beer doesn't fly everywhere

I think you’re looking at it wrong. They aren’t separate operations. Imagine it like a massive buffet and each outlet is just a different style food option. I’d imagine there’s one head catering manager over seeing the whole operation.

I still think THFC would insulate itself against the consequences of incompetence.

Levy have a 10 year contract. I’ve not heard or seen any other caterer mentioned so I presume they are doing it all. I’d guess the majority of the financial rewards to levy is in a set contract with bonuses or percentages on sales, but that’s probably minimal to the overall deal.

Uhhh. I think there's a misapprehension here. Levy Restaurants is an independent group. It is not owned or controlled by THFC or ENIC. The name is a coincidence. It was started in Chicago in 1978 by Mark and Larry Levy. No relation.

http://www.levyrestaurants.co.uk/ is their UK offshoot - the logos are identical. The main USA website is http://www.levyrestaurants.com/

As much as "When the Spurs" is a great chant, the "Shelfside - Park lane" one is probably my favourite and I've never been in either stand, it's a proper shivers down the spine one.

As much as I complain that we are an unimaginative bunch when it comes to songs and chants* I have to say hearing it again today made my eyes leak, so top hole people (y) <insert applause here>

*(I think Northern clubs do tend to be more creative at this IMHO although the "you're shit" one we pinched off bastard leeds can go **** itself quite frankly, I hate it)
The Park Lane is well and truly going to blow away the shelfside chants though. The level of noise you could hear with just a small amount of chanting was something else. That tier really does amplify the noise like nothing I've heard in a stadium before.
Any ID spot checks when scanning your membership cards today?
No ID checks at all, just scan your access card on the outside before walking up the steps, then there's a metal detector at the top of steps. Once past the detectors you can move freely around the outside. When entering the stadium you scan the access card yourself. So 3 checkpoints if you like, the initial scan, the metal detector and then entry into the stadium.

Yup I know that. Makes no difference to anything I’ve said. It’s one caterer on a contract doing all the food. There’s no leasing or anything like that involved.

I love the new stadium, I really do but I just can't figure out why the levels aren't just raised so they are the same level as the rest of the pitch. It may not make a difference but does anyone know why this has been done? There must be reasoning behind it so anyone who can offer insight it would be great to know

Advertising boards. Pitch higher so people can see the pitch. Slope so tv and crowd can see the boards.
