I'll tell you now, the first game at the new stadium will likely be in the first two weeks of April. That's because my wife's expecting our first baby on the 12th, and I won't be able to bloody go (to the stadium, I probably ought to attend the birth)!

Don’t mate. My daughter decided it was the right time to arrive morning of the last game at the lane! Fuming!!!

Still far in the future, asking more to understand the process and criteria, but is there the possibility of the new stadium being picked for European finals (as in CL or Europa)?

In theory it can't host a CL final as Platini wanted 65k plus capacity stadia for "security reasons." Can always change though considering he's long gone and our stadium would fit all criteria aside for capacity. Fits Europa criteria with ease though

60,000 is the minimum requirement

Looks like the Palace game could be the same day as my daughter’s birthday. So gutted I’ll have to miss it.

Luckily I have two daughters. I’ll go to the other one’s birthday.

That is a brilliant move - establish favourites early, and it saves a lot of heartache later in life.

Awesome news! Happy for those of you who are a bit closer to NWHL than I am. For now, I'll just have to stick with the FIFA version...

Is that the same as far as US broadcasting is concerned?
Not sure. Think the issue is similar to brand placement on movies and TV whereby uefa don't want to be seen giving brand endorsement. Well not for free anyway

Shit, that's rough. I'm not sure which is worse!

I live up north so I'll be taking a risk any time I travel down at the start of April. I'm thinking if the first game is Palace on the 3rd I might risk it, assuming nothing's happened by lunchtime when I'd need to leave. Brighton will probably be too risky.

Pretty funny Kramer said March/April ? just feel like a massive weights been lifted off. Hope it’s Palace tbh night game be mega.

Kramer blocked me on twitter when I asked him why he was so adamant that we wouldn't play there this season. Glad he did to be honest.

It's fantastic news that we finally have a date for going home, and I can hardly wait until the first match - even though I won't be one of the lucky ones who will be there.

But what are we going to do now? I've checked this thread almost every day since it was started in November 2008. What will life be like when it's gone? There will be a void that is almost too dreadful to contemplate.
