More likely after the first international break, so assuming we play first 3 away, we play 1 match at Wembley after the break (15-17th Sept) then you're looking at 22nd-24th Sept for the first match at NWHL

Wouldn't surprise me if our first CL match was away in that case, CL commences on the 18 and 19th September but then the 2nd set of matches are players on the 2nd/3rd October.

Are the CL dates actually drawn. I was always under impression once groups are drawn teams sort out the fixtures dates themselves. In that case CL shouldn’t be an issue.

INTRODUCING NEW FOOD AND DRINK OFFERINGS AT NEW STADIUM
Posted on 13 June 2018 - 17:00
Tottenham Hotspur is delighted to announce the wide range of delicious food and drink outlets available in the concourse areas at the new stadium.

The Club has designed the stadium’s food and drink experience around feedback from fans and looked to embrace the local vibe and culture. From our signature pies and street food style dishes to Europe’s longest bar, there will be something for everyone.

THE FOOD

The Market Place, situated in the stadium’s South Stand and the Touchline Grills, located throughout all the stands, will serve a wide range of traditional fan favourites and other delicious dishes inspired by London’s vibrant street food market scene.

The food options include:
N17 Grill
From burgers to steak sandwiches

Linesman

Chicken House
For quality fried chicken

The Market Place will stay open two hours after the final whistle with entertainment, making it the perfect destination to meet up with friends and family for a post-match drink or snack.

THE DRINK
The new ‘high street pub style’ feature bars in the East and West Stands and the Tap Inns situated in every stand will see HEINEKEN, the Club’s official beer partner, serving its much-loved beer and cider products including Heineken®, Amstel, Strongbow and Old Mout Cider.

Local craft beer supplier Beavertown Brewery will also be providing an exciting range of craft beers throughout these outlets.

The bars include:

The Goal Line Bar (South Stand, Level 1)
At the rear of The Market Place in the South Stand is the 65-metre Goal Line Bar that runs the entire length of the goal line. Serving a wide range of beers, wines, ciders and soft drinks, plus our signature pies, this is the longest bar in Europe.

The Shelf (East Stand, Level 1)
The bricks in The Shelf have been salvaged from the East Stand of White Hart Lane while the metalwork on the bar is inspired by the Archibald Leitch design from the old Shelf.

The Dispensary (West Stand, Level 5)
The Dispensary takes its name and design influence from the old Dispensary on the Tottenham High Road. The salvaged frontage of this building will be a feature of the Tottenham Experience.

The White Hart (East Stand, Level 5)
The White Hart pays tribute to the Club’s former home, with The Lane previously owned by Charrington’s Brewery – fans are sure to feel at home here.

Through the new Tottenham Hotspur app, to be released later this year, fans will be able to have full sight of all menu options, including dishes for those with dietary requirements. Later in the 2018-19 season, visitors will also be able to pre-order and collect food and drink through the app.

Our new home will be a cashless venue. All payments at any food or drink outlet will need to be made using either a contactless card or via a mobile phone to help speed up service and reduce queuing times.

For the last time and this was straight from the horses mouth. An email posted on SSC from SCX. “ the rails will be covered with thinner strips of AstroTurf that will be removed when the football pitch has to be rolled out”
From what we have seen, the rails are lower than the surface, in a channel.
So you can tell your horse that the astroturf will not be thinner over the rails.

Thinner, in this case, probably just means "narrower".

The NFL playing surface is subject to numerous tests, and every playing surface must be certified 72 hours before each game - meaning its an ongoing check.

The surface will be safe for the NFL players...

If they make us go back to Wembley for 1/2 games then the club should give the season ticket holders the same number of games back in cup games. That would be a decent gesture, otherwise how can they justify the huge price increase

Surely Arsenal could just play Sunday if we play Saturday or vice versa?

That isn't the problem. The problem is that the police have a certain amount of overtime they can grant in any given weekend and a certain number of officers who will take up that offer. Especially after the past 7-8 years of government reductions in the numbers of police in London, they can't scrape together enough bodies to cover two games in North London in one weekend. They never could. Now it's worse.

Some AstroTurf pitches are laid pretty much onto tarmac. The “turf” is not that thick. It is the rubber pellets that are added afterwards that add the bounce and cushioning. As long as these are there in the areas which are removable (covering the rails) then there won’t be a noticeable difference in the pitch.

Isn't there 4 matches before the international break - and that's the problem because it's unlikely we'd be allowed to play 4 straight away games.

There was 3 last season (13th to 14th, 20th to 21st, 27th to 28th) International break was 3rd to 11th of September

Same for 2016/17 as well.

Anyone see this on SSC? Could be nothing but wouldn't be all that surprising if true

CPS1 posted:

I've been keeping an eye on the stadium microsite to see if we could spot any hints about who the naming rights could be going to and think I've found something.

The suppliers and 'partners' each have a page in the format new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/SUPPLIERNAME, for example
http://new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/beavertown
and until today when I checked, so did Heineken and William Hill, via the 'Partners' area of the site. The links to their pages are still on that page
http://new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/partners
but when you click through to either Heineken's or William Hill's pages, you now get a page that simply says 'error'.

Interestingly, if you try and access a non-existent page on the site, you get a 404 error like this
http://new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/randomname
so the 'error' page implies something is there, but it's not being displayed right now...

http://new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/audi
http://new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/nike

Could be something, probably nothing, but there's definitely something that Heineken, William Hill, Audi and Nike have in common.

Almost two hours later...

They've made another change, the Heineken and William Hill pages are back and /audi and /nike now go to the 404 pages so perhaps they are reading this (hi guys!) or noticed the traffic to those pages. I'm convinced there's something in it, hard to explain it as a coincidence. Didn't someone on here also say that they'd heard that there were no current plans on how the upper floors of the Paxton Building would be used, but that it could be used as a car showroom? Seemed odd at the time, but maybe the jigsaw is coming together.

There’s 4 games this season which is where the problem lays otherwise we’d probably been ok. Wonder what West Ham or Liverpool would have done if there were 4. But is it really a huge difference to reverse 2 fixtures instead of 1. Surely they should push for 4 away much less hassle on tickets and not as bad PR.
