Usual suspects.
Spurs fan sites by ITK boasters.
Red top shit stirrers generally.(Mirror in particular I think)
Nothing authoritative.
Just seeking re-assurance from people on here
who can be trusted.

There are a few posters on SSC who seem to go to site quite regularly, maybe even some site workers on there, the general consensus over there is (from the sensible posters) is that everything is pretty much on schedule (at the moment). And for what its worth some posters with much more knowledge than me (construction folk) are saying that this build is going to break records for its organisation of a complicated build.

Not sure if that helps? o_O

Love the idea that there is a record for that to be broken...

Look at that height of South stand & how steep it looks. If its similar to Dortmund's "Yellow wall", its going to be incredible

As long as we create an atmosphere like they do. The noise they were making last night when 3-1 was superb. We got to many moaners, especially when we go a goal down

It will take time in Wembley & in new stadium- Given people don't really sit like they did at old WHL. Hopefully we get noise making group to sit together to get things going

In order to do that we would need permission to have fuck off big drums, blokes with megaphones leading the chant and a German mentality of follow my leader.
Don't think we'll get the drums, pretty sure we won't be allowed megaphones and if you think I'm going to do as I'm told you can kiss my arse.:)
They chant and we sing which is why, with English football, the atmosphere follows and feeds itself, the game and the players, it's not just noise, you don't just hear it, you feel it coursing right through you.
I'm not knocking the Dortmund fans, they are pretty fantastic but English fans just don't have the flock mentality of the collective.

Am I the only one that thinks the German fans are boring? It's fun to see in small parts but they just seem to drone on constantly. I find it so dull

I completely forgot they were there second half as it just turns into background noise

The new stadium looks epic and i cant wait for it. The stands look fairly steep and i think it is going to be a VERY VERY intimidating place for opposition teams. Acoustics should be brilliant too.

We COULD actually win the pl in that stadium.

How do I click 'agree' that you're the only one who dosnt like atmosphere? Last nights game was one of the best ever games at Wembley stadium, partly thanks to a huge travelling vocal support and it was only 3/4 full.

Weird. Can't see that bit in my post where it says I don't like atmosphere

The Holy Grail of Sports Stadium Design: The Truly Multi-Use Venue
[...]
At the end of the day, this part of the project boils down to this question: how do you create the perfect sightlines for fans and the perfect surface for both soccer and American football, when the latter’s players, standing on the sidelines, are on average over half a foot taller, and 60kg heavier? Anyone who has been to watch the NFL London Games at Wembley and Twickenham will have noticed that the first 10 rows from the sidelines are covered. This has nothing to do with an inability to sell the tickets tickets; simply put, if you sat in those seats, you wouldn’t be able to see any of the action on the pitch!
[...]

Wait, they leave 10 rows empty because of the hench-ness of NFL players? Really?

Its more to do with that they have a massive squad of players and support staff on the touch lines so for the first few rows you'd be looking through a crowd of massive NFL players.

Too many moaners? You need to have a word with those bloody people banging those drums too loudly on Wednesday and as for all that clapping and bouncing up and down, don't get me started

Wembley is meant to be a cathedral not a mosh pit, disgusting

There are at least 2 of us. Bored me after a while

If that isn't staged it would be awesome but if I want to see some loud choreography I'll go and see Oklahoma thanks

Right that's fine. But honestly I think you confuse the shitty Wembley dynamics with shit atmosphere. If that had been the old WHL you wouldn't be complaining. And I say that fully confident that the atmosphere was fantastic on wednesday night. Our own singing sections have been spread thinly, we haven't had the 100 years of people shuffling around to find the right corners. And this will continue at the new WHL as well. At the Chelsea game they played drum beats via the PA on a loop and it was awful.

And now Ive got oklahoma in my head

The problem is that Wembley is a monsterous bowl and when you have 95% of it it's impossible to create a good atmosphere

It's hard enough (when you have half the ground for a cup final/semi) to create a decent atmosphere

It'll be brilliant for the away supporters this season packed into a little corner all with that siege mentality for one game

Wembley was designed for corporates. The whole stadium is set up for it. Those club Wembley seats are perfect for watching the football (ala like being at home watching it on TV!!)

Wembley is just shit, end of

I'll be heading off again soon. I wonder how many others will bother today

Maybe between 50/60k today!?
