That Stac fella on Twitter saying the failing stuff is rubbish
Then on this occasion I shall believe what he says.:)
To be honest even if there were any truth in the fail story it clearly isn't afailure of the entire system, we know that because we've seen and heard it working so if there is a problem it can only be one bit or a number of one bits.
Perhaps a sensor didn't work for example which, if you think about it, is why we test these things, just replace the sensor and hey presto it's done, in fact I would imagine the authorities could pass the system with the proviso that that sensor be replaced within a week or some such procedure.

I appreciate that but surely were not the first build to use that system.
Other large buildings have similarly complex systems, but a project of this size would have a bespoke specification and software designed to suit it.

The trigger for the problems here seems to have been incorrect wiring, whether incorrectly designed, incorrectly supplied or incorrectly installed we do not yet know. But it's obvious by now that the whole elaborate system has been beset by errors. That suggests multiple contractors at fault, or a failure of supervision by whoever at Mace was in charge of the alarm and evacuation systems.

We aren't going to know what went wrong and who was responsible until the post-completion claims and probably lawsuits have panned out, which will be a matter of years. What I do know is that these systems are bloody complicated and that much of it is recent technology. It's not about installing a trusty old fire alarm, that was my point.

Brighton 2-0 up. Looks like they will be in the QFs, so one game closer to their fixture with us being rearranged.

A poster on spursod said building control visit was postponed from Thursday to next week due to the ongoing alarm problems.

With thanks and acknowledgement to Ehsen Shah for his photo.

Do you have to abseil into your seats?

I just realised this photo has been taken from almost exactly where our new seats will be in the East Upper. Within a seat or two and from the same row.

Too bloody close to the visiting fans, but we couldn't get decent seats down the other end to correspond with where we used to be in OWHL (East Upper Block G).

I've had to move from East to West to get an affordable seat in a similar position to my old one in OWHL Block 31. So I'm now going to be eating prawn sandwiches in Block 101.

Are you telling me there aren’t times you’ve sat at a Spurs game and thought you’d rather be sat on a riverbank? :) I’m not saying 100% but it’s more weeding out the ones who sit there bored or playing with their phones or ‘the greatest evil of all’, eating popcorn. If they’re filling the seats of someone who is 75% committed then I know who’d I’d rather have sat there going forward.

Edit: I put that more succinctly but my boss showed up and the long post I had written had just bloody disappeared. It was rousing I tell ya! Think Mel Gibson in Braveheart, Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire or Al Pacino in Any Given Sunday. People would have been throwing their popcorn across the room. This isn’t that post. Just a tribute to it.

I don't get to see Spurs in real like I used to due to health and finances, but the times I have been there, there have been times I have listened to what I expect to be ST holders just sit there, play with their phones and yap about anything other than the game. the only time they showed interest was when something stirred on the field when the volume went up.

there will always be a big tourist base when you have players like Son. yet when you see them in the crowd when Son has just scored or subbed they look like they are involved in the game. other times you will get tourist that are visiting, staying close to Wembley and will take the chance to visit an iconic stadium, even if we are fed up with it

It can change colour right? There simply testing the water right now.

Im not liking the lighting at all... forget the colours for a second, its more a) the scatter gun approach to the lighting and b) the indoor lights clash with the cladding lighting...

I like the roof lighting and the indoor roof lighting looks good but not sold on the cladding lighting. I also hope it really isnt purple, would be a tad ludicrous but ims ure it changes colour

It’s not scatter gun though and the lighting doesn’t clash. It’s all RGB (can cycle through the spectrum) so can be set to whatever the club chooses. However, it is easy to forget but you’re seeing it in the commissioning phase, it’s not running a specific pattern because the stadium isn’t hosting anything and has not been handed over to the club.
