If you search this thread for "construction management" and my user name, you should pull up a couple of more detailed explanations of the contract procurement they're using. The subcontracts are let directly by THFC's development company and Mace are the construction managers. Mace will have a late-completion-damages liability in the contract, but that's just the start of it. It usually ends up being a drawn-out negotiation, followed by a commercial settlement.

cheers thankfully found 1 quite early out of 2 pages that answered my question:LOL:

That box looks really narrow

Turn your friggin phone round when your filming something you numpty
I do get this criticism but I'd rather someone film in portrait - if they don't have both hands free to hold their phone in landscape - than to not film the new stadium at all.

Cheers Sandro30 I don't do twitter so wasn't aware, however I have now read them and am none the wiser.
Basically, Tyco/JC are manufacturers/installers of fire detection/prevention equipment. They have installed a prototype fire panel in the new stadium and basically its f*cked and doesn't work correctly, so its being said that it needs to be reprogrammed as they're too far down the line with it to replace it. Stac works for a company that install this kind of equipment and did at one work at the stadium, however is now working on a railway station project.

As I see it, after reading his posts over the last few weeks & months, Stacey is saying that Tyco/JC (the company tasked with getting the alarm systems working correctly) are using a prototype fire alarm panel that hasn't been tried before and the panel is continually failing as it cannot cope with the extra fire & smoke detectors installed during the build that the panel wasn't originally specced for.
I think...
Happy to be corrected if someone knows more

Welp. This really is starting to scream berlin. Better start discussions with wembley on next season, me thinks.

I guess tyco or whomever won the bid on the system but perhaps its time for push to come to shove and get them out? I mean, just get Siemens or someone else in there to install a syatem that is actually proven to work? Surely that would take less time than having to reprogram and retest a prototype? It may add a huge cost but that is likely better than the very real possibility that this thing just continues to fail.

But then you'd have to change all the secondary panels and I should think all the heads too, far too much work. And its not Berlin, that wasn't just the fire systems that went tits up!! As I understand it the top engineers from Tyco are working on it, so should get it sorted!!

Funny because I got the impression from Daniel Levys last statement that it was sorted now anyway. Any issue with the criticial safety software is now fixed and they increased the security systems where needed. We are now in the process of fixing dates with contractors and Haringey Council for the test events and sign offs. Maybe I am reading it wrong but it sounds like March is a very realistic opening now. It doesn't sound like further set backs to me, just taken longer to get them fixed because of the holidays.

The past month has seen remedial works take place, software issues resolved and corrected safety equipment installations increase. Testing has also continued.

We are now liaising with the contractors and building control at Haringey Council to determine a schedule of commissioning, building test dates and building control sign-offs, along with formal test event dates.
