It’s clearly not miles off though
Relative to being ready in September. I am only saying what they told me, I have season ticket and am looking forward to going back as much as anyone. They said been working there for last couple of months and it is moving slowly.

Tell them to all ease off. I’ve been invited tonight to a very berry important 60th birthday party in Southamptonn on the 15th Sept! Bet the tv fuckers change the game to a 5.30 kick off! Everything else I can skip around.

“Moving slowly “ ??? they’ve just put up a roof in just over a month. This threads a farce.

Internals can be fiddly but you would have expected more progress based on some of these comments.

Was chatting today to a couple of workmen who are fitting out the boxes at the stadium. They said it’s a bit of a nightmare working there. Too many trades getting in each other’s way, said it was chaos. In their opinion they said it looked miles off. They are both spurs fan btw

Thanks for passing on the info...

See how difficult was that :ROFLMAO:

You'll be fine - that has Sunday 16th 4pm kick-off written all over it.

I reckon it will either be moved to 1 of 3 times. 12:30 on the Saturday to get the Weekend off to a bright start, or the 16:00 on the 16th though it won't allow much to the build up if they want to show the opening ceremony, or even a Saturday night fixture 19:45. with both teams involved in the CL midweek it will most probably be the 12:30

The club have publicly announced and in particular Daniel Levy, that the first game at the stadium will be against Liverpool in September, if it is not ready then Mr Scudamore and the Premier League are going to be seriously upset.

Are they going to waggle their finger at us and strike us from their xmas card list?

More likely to fine and/or deduct points.

The premier league is run by the chairmen. Scudamore serves at their grace. Due to ffp and the premier leagues short term cost controls in conjunction with the tv money balooning, many clubs are now making healthy profits and are looking to increase capacity in their stadiums. I doubt those chairmen would be happy by making a precedent of deducting points from a team whose build over ran as they could find themselves in a similar position further down the road.

I think we should be fine. The stadium may not be finished but i think it should be able to hold the liverpool game.

I keep on looking at this thread and am genuinely excited about moving back. At the end of the day though, that's kind of what it is - moving back home. Whatever the design had been (within reason), I consider it to be just a remodelling of our own old ground*. Just a rebuild and not a totally new ground elsewhere, like a whole host of other clubs. For that I'm so thankful.

*Course I want it to be a ground others envy.
