As it says in the sidebar
O.Skipp in the publicity material
for the new kits.

No doubt someone will cite players
who did the same
and were never seen again.

Have to say those prices are insane. I know it gets moaned about every year (rightly so) and isn’t just our club but the training t shirts cost almost as much as the kit. 40, 50, 90 odd quid for training tips.

Pretty sure it’s nike that set the pricing not Spurs.
They also vary the costs depending the team/level they are supplying it appears.

Brighton's new home shirt - £52 (no elite available)
Portsmouth new 3rd shirt - £45
Chavski Home - £65 or £89 for the Elite which is where I expect ours to be priced

Only time I buy kits now is if we make a final and they release a version with the match details printed/embroidered on the front. In the last few seasons I think the only bit of club wear I've purchased is the light blue walk out jacket.

Ok so the drill tops that Harry Winks and Davies are wearing int heir contract signing pics, erm not good for me. They would accentuate any moobs. The purple bits under the moob. Nope. I do love it though - may just wear it around the house...

Poch gives zero fucks about his moobs.

The prices are what they are because mugs pay it. The more mugs pay it, the bolder they get with "elite" versions and all that bollox... Me? I buy my sons kits from some chinese knock off site on eBay and they're so good you can't tell the difference these days, other than you can buy 3 full kits for the price of 1 official one. Considering he's 7 and he will get those kits filthy within a week of playing football in them, I feel no shame whatsoever buying knock off's.

I don't buy shirts for myself anymore since we went to Nike and the price went up to £60... They probably cost less than £5 to make in Thailand

£170 for what is effectively a tracksuit is outrageous. I need to meet somebody that actually pays that sort of cash for training gear.

I suspect the target demographic is likely teens from well-to-do families. Hell, I live in southern America and you see teens walking around in Prem merchandise all the time, kits and whatever.

I hate that everything is skinny fit or tapered these days... Such a shit look and not fat bloke friendly lol

Absolutely spot on. Why the fuck is it now the norm to taper everything to be wide in the shoulder and small around the waste/midriff even though the majority of the population are basically the opposite configuration. If you go into clothes shops these days, there's only a tiny selection of things on offer that are not skinny-fit. I'd get it if we were only talking about shops targeted at "the yoof" but even in the shops whose target market is middle-aged/older people like M&S it's now more slim-fit than not.

I think the message here is do what I do - dont have kids, spend all your money on yourself... oh and give to charity
