BBC Sport:-

"It's a fantastic club to be part of at the moment and you can only see it getting better," the Welshman said.

"If you'd have said this before the start of my career I would probably have been in shock, I wouldn't have believed it."

Great news, we've the best pair of left backs in the league and Davies can play centre half as well if needed.

He's come under a bit of criticism lately from our fans but I for one happy really happy to have him at our club
Completely agree, he's clearly second choice at left back but but a very valuable player to have. Much like Trippier, I don't really want him starting but he adds a lot to the squad.

had his best game of the season last time out.
We will need a group of 10 defenders for next season and he is part of that mix...one addition would be the Ryan S from Fulham:
DR, RS
JV, BD
TA, KW
ED, CCV
KW, KT

Bloody good, it was embarrassing the shit he got on here a few weeks back after the Liverpool game, considering he was facing one of the best forwards in the league whilst getting fuck all support from midfield.
Very few clubs have a backup Left back of his quality, and Poch obv knows this.

Good loyal squad player.
Buys into the project.
Gets a lot of shit because he's not Danny Rose.
But then Danny got a lot of shit not so long ago
because he was

Exactly. Some of our fans are embarrassing. Remember loads wanted rid of Bale a one point, many just don't have any patience.

We're very lucky to have players like Davies, Trippier, Vorm, Wimmer etc. who bide their time and step up to the plate when needed. I'd like us to try for Sessegnon as a long term back up to Rose, but he's not near that level yet. In the meantime, Ben Davies fits the bill just fine.

Exactly! Also he is 3 years younger than Danny Rose and look at the shit Rose was getting on here 3 years ago, I never understand the rush to write off our players by some on here.

Beckham made an entire career out of being a good crosser. For a midfielder, good delivery is the main requirement. For a defender, it's an almighty bonus.

I'm not disagreeing with you just making the point that it's only one trait that separates them. Much like getting another Harry Kane who can't shoot for shit - it makes a hell of a difference to the overall package.

I agree... I still remember when Poch came in and Danny Rose was the first player to have his contract extended (I think) and there was a bit of an uproar..... now look at him
