Let's see how good Conte is when the Chelsea players decide to have another year off next year.

It'l be Conte. Year on year Chel$ea have made a staggering return to top of the PL.

At the end of the day they have put together a better run of results, and that much cannot be denied.

Far too many draws for us, and though records have tumbled this season our youth and inexperience has shown through a few times.

In the long run we will improve, ad over the next three or four seasons i will be disappointed, particularly when we return to the new stadium if we are not crowned champions.

Neville has a point, he said that Spurs have no right to be where they are due to the resources we are up against.

I'd vote Wenger as manager of the year. Fantastic what he has done there. Keep it up Arsene and sign that contract!

Must admit I thought Conte would struggle with the mentality of the squad he inherited, but they decided to turn up this year.

At the beginning of the season, Neville had predicted we would round up being 6th. That we have defied all predictions is down to Poch. Yes, Poch definitely should be in contention.

Love how much Gary Neville loves Spurs these days. I also think he likes us so much because he sees something of Fergie in Poch and equally something of the early days of that Man Utd team in our current squad. Largely young, english players, grafting their asses off and playing great football.

Conte has done a good job, no doubt about it, but let's see how he does when he's got Champions League to contend with and the inevitable injuries that come with the extra games. He simply hasn't had that issue this year.

If we finish 2nd and win the FA cup then Poch is manager of the year comfortably IMO and that's not even being biased. Even if we don't win the cup, we've been the only team for the 2nd year running with the balls to step and challenge for the title.

There seems to be some unwritten rule that the manager whose team wins the league should get manager of the year by default and thats BS. It should be whichever manager has been able to over achieve with the resources available to him. Chelsea have some of the best players in the world, they have Fabregas and Willian coming off their bench for goodness sake, Chelsea are expected to be up there so for me it's far less of an achievement than what Poch has done and for the 2nd season in a row.

Just what has Conde managed to do? Yes he won countless titles with Juve when all around him were floundering and now he's taken the Russian mafia to the top of the Premier where they should have been anyway the last few years with all the money the Russian mobster has invested in them.
I have so much more respect for the way we've gone about our business and although it's been slower than the chequebook teams (Untd., Citeh and Chelski) I believe it's been so much more rewarding for all of us that are looking for more than a quick fix.

Before he got the Juve gig, he coached 3 or 4 of Italy's less fashionable or wealthy clubs. His record was reasonable, but nothing special. Take away the ridiculous amounts of money that Juve and Chelscum were/are willing and able to spend on his behalf, and you're left with just another coach.

People talk about Chelsea like they ar miles ahead rhis season. IIRC, we battered them in the 1st half at the bridge and only a moment of skill got them in level at HT. They were a bit better than us in the second, however, we could easily have won that game. That's a 6 point swing. Not that far ahead?

What? Not one post ****ing Neville off?

Must have said something positive, his fellow pundits must be shaking with anger, how dare he break the media conspiracy against Spurs. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Carragher called him a scab on air.

I think both Conte and Poch have done excellent jobs and it's hard to pick between the two as to who has been manager of the year.

Results wise Conte obviously has it in the bag, and it shouldn't be forgotten that he has taken a team that was laughably terrible at times last year and made them (probably) champions.

That said he did spend £110m to get there, albeit over £30m of that was on Batshuayi who hasn't really featured, although Poch actually spent over £80m, just unfortunately mostly on players who have been a bit crap/not yet up to speed.

I think what Poch has achieved in the longer term is a more impressive achievement than what Conte has done so far, but for a one season effort, you probably just about have to give it to Conte.

But how nice is it to actually have a manager even being mentioned!

I think the difference with us is that it all somehow seems more organic for want of a better word. Poch had a season to assess and then he weeded out the misfits and the big egos. He's brought in players with a sharp eye on their mentality and knitted together a small, tight knit squad with a great team spirit and attitude. He has a clear picture of what he wants on the pitch and how to achieve and I think this is only the beginning.

This is true, the only reason Chelsea are where they are is because we had a period where we were drawing games we would now be winning. Since Christmas, we are the best team in the Prem. We are IMO, now better than Chelsea. Just. That's incredible.
