The move works for everyone EXCEPT we are so short of warm bodies just now we might actually baulk at letting him leave. Though ifwe don’t get anyone in, would rather see his squad place go to Georgiou, or better yet, Roles.

I personally don’t feel he was given a proper chance the same with Nije. I have no facts but it felt like both were punts taken by the club above Pochettino.

How anyone can seriously ridicule a player who was given no chance even after giving his all in the off season is beyond me. He should leave. You can see he's trying very hard, but simply isn't in tune with the rest of the team. Oh the shock and disbelief.

Doesn't the way you perform in training, friendlies and reserve/PL2/U23 matches also serve as 'chances'?
Didn't his loan spell at Burnley also give him a chance to show what he can do?

No-one's questioning his commitment to being a good football player, but in truth we are Tottenham Hotspur now. A Champions' League Club making out of 'groups of death' and being in the mix for the title and always in the mix for a Top 4 place.

He was signed (by someone) as a prospect and if he is sold, it's probably because the club's coaching staff don't believe he's good enough to make it at Spurs. They are sometimes wrong, but history tells us that they are usually right.

As with the VJ case, we need to be realistic on the fee, it's clear to me and most others he has no long term future here, a series of loan deal after loan deal is not going to change that and is only putting off the inevitable, as in VJ's case, it could be another one where the clock eventually runs down and we haven't been able to sell. Much has been said about our transfer strategy or lack of it in terms of targets and incommings or the absence of them. It is being replicated by the fact that we also seem to be having real difficulties shifting players we no longer want, something has got to change, and it should start by us being realistic about transfer fee outgoing sales. It's as clear as day that we aren't being realistic otherwise the players we are prepared to let leave wouldn't be stuck in a loop with us going round and round like uncollected baggage on the conveyer belts at the airport.

This how it will pan out. We'll want to sell, Besiktas will want a loan. Fuck all happens and he's still here on Friday

I actually thought that he's done quite well. Has a good turn of pace and given game time I'm sure can improve the consistency of delivery (he won us the Fulham game).

Must admit he seems to have more productivity in the final third than Lamela.
