Its just my opinion and it's clear that large numbers will disagree, but I for one wouldn't let him leave this Summer.

How can anyone honestly say that he's had enough of a chance? I saw things this season that I really liked and give me a lot of hope for Tottenhams future, but only if he stays and is given at least another year or two.

It's got to be soul destroying, no matter who you are, to sit on the bench, week in, week out, while watching that god awful no14 (who will never make a decent footballer) getting caught on the ball because he's all pace and no brain.

Didier Deschamps speaks very highly of him, and while he may be unpopular among large sections of the fans, he seems to be liked within the club.

Ok, I get that he's not exactly young anymore, but it will will be a huge mistake to let the Frenchman leave.

[edit] sorry I thought this was the Arsene Wenger thread...

Sissoko??? He's shit. Get rid.

For a winger, his technique is awful. He is so lumbering. He seems like a nice guy but he is so wrong for the type of football we play. What a shocking buy.

He has the pace and power to fit into our system well, and he generally picks the right pass, but his touch is often too heavy. In a different league (or in International football) he would tend to have extra space / time, so it's less of an issue.

It would be difficult to sell him without making a loss (although we might recoup £20m+ if the right teams are interested), but if his wages are as high as we're made to believe (£95k), he'd surely be the first to make way for a marquee signing.

With players like Janssen you at least see glimmers of hope and a clearly good team ethic. When Lamela struggled that first season you could see there was a real player in there. Son in his first season did quite well but again his attitude made you think there was a lot more to come. Sissoko looks the clumsy player I always thought he was ... but then that was how I saw Kane three years ago so I am more than willing to trust the judgment of Poch if he decides to keep him

I think the word clumsy is spot on, he looks to be even more shown up in this spurs side, just looks like bamby on ice half the time. So out of his depth!

It has been well established that if he goes this summer he'll have cost us £17m so if we can get £20m then we're laughing but... I think most of us would be happy to take £15m and move on. Especially as the same info said we have to pay a further £6m per year after

he's built for the center of the pitch not the wing but he doesn't have the touch to play in the middle get rid imo

He'd be more effective in a 4-3-3 IMO. I think the France national team have employed this system previously. Sissoko next to two more competent footballers/passers can concentrate on those driving runs. However we're not likely to play this way so there's no point keeping him.

I'm starting to think getting Sissoko 17 tattooed on my back may have been a mistake.

If that's true I'd be surprised if levy would hold out for 20 million plus if that's true even.

This is so wrong.

This myth has come from the fact we are paying the fee in installments - like most football transfers. Whatever happens Newcastle will get their £30m - even if we do sell him on we still owe them £30m.

Which is a lot of cashish for a very average player.

We all know the rhetoric here, guys.

Sissoko ain't great. We know this. We know he was expensive. We all want rid...

Let's just hope Barca's interest is legit...

Can we send him back to Newcastle? Surely these types of purchases come with a 12 month warranty.

Either that or we go down the trade descriptions route...
...we thought we were getting a footballer...
