He defiantly needs to be further forward in a free role position. He's the sort of player we need around the box to keep the ball in the tight areas because that's what we lacking at the moment. I really hope he gets his form back because he is a very good footballer.

He has been disappointing most of the time this season. The biggest worry is it's his second season for us and he's been in the prem a few years now. When we signed him I looked him up as i'd not seen a great deal and the first thing I thought was all dribbling and no vision. I feel disloyal even saying so as I don't generally slate players and I actually like him to a degree as many others seem to, but other than a few impressive games he's not really been at it at all. Doesn't help having to fill Ratboy's shoes.

Just looking him up again, has he scored only one goal? I thought there was more than that.

when he 1st joined and played with Sandro he was good as a partnership, though he should score more and create more, especially considering he can play a strikers role or has done in the past.

this year 2013 not just season, he has gone off the boil. he fails to make any telling passes, his dribbling is with his head down and not knowing what's around him, and it's not even creative. when he loses the ball 9 out of 10 times he fouls the man that has just tackled him, giving a lot of the time needless free kicks in dangerous areas.

he definitely is nowhere near as good as Modric, and the way he is playing at present definitely needs to at least be benched.

we have lost 2 games at home this season, against teams we all expected a total of 6 points from. now I never saw the Wet Spam game, but did yesterday and i'm sure due to his clumsiness yesterday, very soon after they scored their goal. yes I know Paulinho lost out on the challenge, but fractionally before that he put us under pressure and tried to make a pass that made no sense, when he had other options and shortly after we were 0-1 down

The chelsea game was the standard he needs to set himself every week.

I'm just gonna throw it out there, I think Huddlestone would be better next to Sandro based upon this seasons performances

adding atleast a slight forward thinking attacking passing mindset.

For me I would rather Carroll getting games at CM then Dembele.

We signed 5 midfielders in the window.
I wonder why?
Maybe because last season the midfield wasnt good enough to take us forward.
They relied on bale to much and werent chipping in with there fair share of goals.
Personally AVB should be playing the new signings, those who dont like it can leave.

If Demebele gets carted off we may find it harder to keep hold of Vertoghen.
