Sherwood who gave the youngster his Spurs debut is looking to take him on loan for a season.

If this is true then why not? Its looks likely we're trying to bring in another CB and if MV gets prem experience all the better for our long term progress. Just as long as they take ADE as part of the package of course.;)

Be a great move. It's one thing giving him games in the Europa against poor Greek sides but his development will speed up getting regular Prem games under his belt.

Wouldn't be against it in principle but would like to see him play in front of the back 4. We don't have a lot of options there but are overflowing at CB. I think that's where Sherwood sees him as well and I'd be all for him gaining a season's experience with a manager who knows and rates him. No option to buy though.

I think it was pointless to buy wimmer. Should give a chance to milos. If he can play in the under-20 world cup winning team as a first choice then hes ready to play backup in the prem...IMO

Not sure about that. I think it was pointless to buy Fazio. No way is he a top 4 defender. If Wimmer is an upgrade, why not ? Veljkovic should be ideal to be on the bench with his versatility and some starts in the Europa. I hope we keep him.

SHerwood playing him infront of the back four could be a good thing for him. Certainly helped Judas and King become the players they eventually did.

If this is true, I think Sherwood would play him as the holding midfielder in a cm3.

It's funny how he said that he doesn't believe in holding midfielders but always played Veljkovic there in u21s. To his credit it shows that if he has a player that is very talented that plays in a system he wouldn't otherwise play he is willing to adapt it to give that player his chance as he knows he it would benefit him

That was such a strange comment, made by Sir Les in all fairness but some of the selections did back up that Sherwood felt similarly. I'm not sure they really believed that, I suspect it may have been horrendously worded and just meant they didn't just want midfielders who broke up play and added nothing else (eg. passing ability from deep), but yeah... Strange.

I thought so to as it was at odds with the system they used in the u21s so ye I will assume Sir Les worded it poorly

We don't have any top four defenders. If true that Wimmer is upgrade on Fazio, then we should sell Fazio and use Milos in his place and forget any thoughts of signing Alderweireld.

I agree with you. I was saying we should keep Milos and hopefully Wimmer is good enough too.

At the time we were really struggling at the back and Fazio was steady if unspectacular. Dier improved and took over but for a while I thought Vertonghen was going to be playing alongside Chiriches or Kaboul and that was if everyone stayed fit. If Alderwierald comes in then hopefully we can sell Kaboul and Chiriches and let Veljkovic get some games at Villa.

In a ideal world what I would like is for him to stay at Tottenham for the first half of the season and loan him out for the second depending on how successful he is.

If he cements a position at CB and CM, keep him because the boy has the composure to be something special.

I think he was misunderstood. He wants a player more similar to viera or yaya than a makelele that hardly ever ventures into the opositions half and just defends.

Every game Milos played at the World Cup was at centre back and he played every minute of every game including 3 extra times with Serbia who beat Brazil in the final.

Centre back.
